The news was first confirmed by his co-star, Subhangi Latkar, who is currently playing the role of 'Ganga' in Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan. The actress took to her social media account and shared the heartbreaking news while remembering Dayama's contribution to the industry. Latkar confirmed the news of his sudden demise. However, the cause of his death is still unknown.
She took to social media and shared an old video along with a long emotional note. Subhangi Latkar revealed that the actor had been unwell for months. However, they had hoped that he would get better. She shared how they had several unfinished plans and called the loss "too big". A part of the note read:
"After years, I had truly wished to work with him again. We had decided to do a beautiful Hindi play together. When I requested him, he smiled and said, 'Let me get well soon.' We had even planned to present selected beautiful poems together on stage. That dream, too, now remains unfinished…Some losses leave behind a silence that words fail to express. Today feels like one of those days. You will be deeply missed, Ramakant ji. Your warmth, your courage, your art, and your beautiful spirit will always remain alive in our hearts."
While not much is known about Ramakant Dayama's wife, Dr Asha Naithani Dayama's personal life, she too has an impeccable professional record. According to her website, Dr Dayama is the former Head of the Hindi Department at St. Xavier's College (Autonomous) in Mumbai. She was also the former Vice Principal of Arts at the college. She is a recognised PG teacher and PhD guide at the University of Mumbai and has presented several papers in both national and international seminars, which speaks highly for her academic knowledge and grasp of her subject.
However, that is not all, apart from being a skilled researcher and teacher, Dr Asha Naithani Dayama is also a published author and has written several articles, published papers in books and magazines. She has also helmed the role of an anchor for live classical music and dance shows such as Akhil Bhartiya Shastriya Sangeet for DD National and Hello DD for National Doordarshan.
Dr Dayama has also written screenplays for Hindi TV serials such as Amrita and Maansi. She has also written scripts for films, including Chakachak and Gandhi My Father. She has also written Hindi narration for Civilisation to Nation, directed by Mr Feroz Abbas Khan, for the opening ceremony of Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, 2023 and penned the script of Parampara, "a Guru Purnima-classical music special show for NMACC", according to her website.
While the details of their relationship are unknown, according to Star Sun Unfolded, Ramakant Dayama and Dr Asha Naithani Dayama are parents to two beautiful kids, Prabuddh and Yashaswini Dayama, both of whom are actors and working in the industry. However, while he might have kept the details of his personal life hidden, the actor didn't miss a chance to appreciate his wife, Dr Dayama. One such moment was captured on social media, where he posted a picture of them with the caption that read:
