In a recent interaction, Mary Kom's ex-husband, Onler, responded to her fraud allegations against him and accused her of having stepped out of their marriage multiple times.
Indian boxer, Mary Kom confirmed her divorce from her footballer husband, Karung Onkholer, in 2025; however, she didn’t share the reason for the divorce. But recently, the boxer-turned-politician accused Onler of cheating her by taking control of her assets and properties worth several crores of rupees. She also accused Onler of transferring her assets to his name without her consent.
After the recent allegations by Mary Kom, Onler reacted and revealed that the boxer had an affair with a junior boxer in 2013. Her affair led to a major fallout between them, which they later compromised. He also alleged that Mary had an affair with someone from the Mary Kom Boxing Academy in 2017.
Speaking to IANS, Onler revealed that he is not bothered if Mary wanted another husband, but he will not take the blame on him. Speaking about the same, he said:
“Firstly, in 2013, she was having an affair with a junior boxer. Our families had a fight, and after that, we compromised. And since 2017, she’s been having a relationship (with someone) working at the Mary Kom Boxing Academy. I have their WhatsApp messages as proof. I have proof, with the name of the person with whom she was having an affair. I remained silent. She wanted to stay alone and have another relationship. We’re divorced. I don’t mind if she wants to have another husband. But don’t ever blame me. And if she’s to blame me, bring the proof; get the papers. I know where she lives and with whom.”
In the same interview, Onler also revealed that all the allegations made by Mary were untrue. Onler also revealed that, even after living with her for 18 years, he still lives in a rented property in Delhi. He also questioned Mary about her false allegations against him and revealed that he had helped her start the academy and get it registered, but that someone else is the chairman. He also revealed that, though Mary was earning money for the family, he was the one who raised their children.
During her recent appearance on Aap Ki Adalat, Mary Kom revealed that her ex-husband, Onler, lived on her finances and never earned a penny. The boxing legend also highlighted that after she sustained the career-ending injury just before the 2022 Commonwealth Games, she saw the real face of her ex-husband, Onler. Mary revealed that she caught Onler red-handed when he had withdrawn Rs. 10 lakhs from her account.
