Popular Malayalam TV stars, Manu Varma and Sindhu Varma are undergoing a separation. The couple has been married for 25 years.
Famous Malayalam TV stars, Manu Varma and Sindhu Varma are reportedly heading for a separation. The pair has decided to end their century-long companionship and has been staying separately for the past two years. Manu shared that his and Sindhu's divorce case is currently under the court's consideration. The pair was together for 25 years.
According to a report by the SCREEN, Manu Varma and Sindhu Varma were together for 25 years, and at the moment, the couple is living separately. Their divorce case is being considered in court, and in an interview with Movie World Media, Manu revealed that their separation is not yet official. However, there is very little possibility of the duo coming back together. Manu shared:
"My wife and I are currently separated. We are not legally divorced yet, though. The chances of us reuniting are very slim. There is no point in saying that we fell in love and began a life together after that; so many people who loved and lived together more than we did have ended up parting ways. At least until two or three years ago, we were in love and together. It doesn’t take much time for all this to happen."
For the unversed, Manu Varma is the son of the late Jagannatha Varma, who was a veteran character actor. Manu is also the cousin of famous ad filmmaker, Prakash Varma, who made a grand acting debut in Tharun Moorthy-directed blockbuster, Mohanlal Shobana movie, Thudarum. Manu, in the interview, cited compatibility issues, and the pair has opted not to be together. He shared that it was a mutual decision of the duo to live separately and shared:
"When the compatibility is no longer there, it is better to live apart. There is no need to struggle and live together. What if problems escalate while living together? Why do that? Isn’t it like that in foreign countries? Moreover, even after separating, people there maintain a friendship; it would be good if that came here too. However, if that happens, perhaps divorces might increase."
Manu also shared that there was nothing wrong with separated people maintaining a friendship. That is not how it is in Kerala, though. Once people part ways, they are ready to tear each other apart if they meet again. Manu revealed that he and Sindhu have three kids together. The actor shared that the eldest one is working as an IT engineer in the US, while the second one is in Bengaluru. Manu and Sindhu's third child, a daughter, is a child with health issues.
Manu Varma has been known for his acting work in soap operas such as Kadamattathu Kathanar, Pookkalam Varavayi, and Kumkumacheppu. Manu was also seen in a couple of films that included Mammootty's Neelagi, along with Jayaram’s Naranathu Thampuran. Manu had never used the name of his father to create a name in the acting industry, despite being associated as the son of Jagannatha Varma. Sindhu Varma is known for her roles in TV serials like Etho Janma Kalpanayil, along with Panchagni. Sindhu was also seen in movies such as Mammootty's CBI: The Brain and also Artham.
