Mandira Bedi remembered her husband, late Raj Kaushal on his first death anniversary with an emotional note.
It was exactly one year back on this day when Mandira Bedi’s life had come to a standstill with the untimely demise of her husband, Raj Kaushal. The morning of June 30, 2021, had given a big shock to everyone in the entertainment industry when the reports of filmmaker, Raj Kaushal’s death had hit the headlines.
As per Raj's friend and music director, Sulaiman Merchant, Raj had complained about getting a heart attack at 4 am, and Mandira along with their close friend, Ashish Chawdhry had rushed him to the hospital. But before they could reach the hospital, Raj had left the world forever, leaving behind his wife, Mandira and their kids, Vir and Tara.

On June 30, 2022, Mandira took to her IG handle and penned an emotional note on Raj Kaushal’s first death anniversary. Remembering him and revealing her pain on spending 365 days without him, Mandira posted a picture of a handwritten note, in which, “365 days without you” was written, followed by a broken heart. She captioned her post as:
“Miss you Raji.”
On July 5, 2021, Mandira had taken to her Twitter handle and had shared her first tweet post Raj’s death. Mandira had posted a throwback picture with Raj, where the two were seen goofing around. While Mandira had posed for the picture, Raj was seen pointing towards the camera. She had captioned the picture as:
“RIP my Raji.”
Mandira was shaken to the core after Raj’s death and was inconsolable. But despite the sudden turmoil, she had shown courage and had performed her late husband’s last rites. From shouldering Raj’s body to carrying the earthen pot for the rites, Mandira had broken the gender stereotypes.

For the unversed, Mandira Bedi had met her late husband, Raj Kaushal in 1996 as he was an assistant and she was a famous model and actress. The couple had tied the knot after dating each other for three years, in February 1999. 12 years later, Mandira and Raj had welcomed a baby boy, Vir Kaushal, making them parents for the first time. Nine years later, in 2020, they had adopted a baby girl, Tara Bedi Kaushal.
