Recently, Malti Chahar opened up on being called a le***an on 'Bigg Boss 19' and revealed that Farrhana Bhatt had first set that narrative.
Bigg Boss 19, hosted by Salman Khan is just a few hours away from getting its ultimate winner. As of now, the top 5 contestants have been revealed. For those who don't know, actor-filmmaker, Malti Chahar was recently evicted from the show. Now, in her first interview after elimination, she has opened up about contestants calling her le***an.
Recently, after her eviction from Bigg Boss 19, Malti Chahar sat down for an interview with Zoom. During the same, when she was asked about the entire incident why her co-contestants called her a le***an, the actress revealed that Farrhana set a narrative like that inside the house. Malti was quoted as saying:
"Someone calling me a le***an doesn’t offend me at all. ‘le***an’ is not an insult. I have no problem with acceptance. But this narrative was first set by Farrhana. Because she doesn’t know what to say and what not to say, that woman leaves nothing unsaid. For her, doing anything to stay on the show was survival. She didn’t spare anyone."
It is worth mentioning that throughout Malti’s journey, the actress was often seen arguing with Farrhana. This made both housemates and the audience think that Malti was ‘admiring’ Farrhana. During one such incident, Malti stood extremely close to Farrhana and refused to step back, which made Kunickaa think that she might be a le***an. Regarding the same Malti shared:
"I wasn’t admiring anyone in that way. I was simply talking to the boys and talking to the girls, that’s it. And if I were a le***an, I would have no problem accepting it. There is nothing wrong with being a le***an. I am straight. If someone had asked me on the show, I would’ve openly said it a thousand times, I am straight."
Even though, Malti has often denied being obsessed with Farrhana multiple fans, several fans feel that the filmmaker was shown like that. During the episodes, Malti was often seen talking to the Laila Majnu actress, teasing her or only fighting with her. A few days before Malti's elimination from Bigg Boss 19, during the media round a reporter had asked her the same. To which Malti had replied that she wasn’t obsessed with Farrhana. Rather, it was Farrhana, who used to poke her and she only responded.
Malti Chahar is an actress, model, filmmaker and content creator. She is also the younger sister of cricketer, Deepak Chahar. Over the years, she has built a popular and public profile through pageants, modelling and social media. Later, she moved into films and filmmaking. Over the years, she has been part of films such as Genius, Ishq Pashmina, Manicure and more. She rose to widespread fame with Bigg Boss 19. Malti was in the Bigg Boss house for almost 8 weeks and if reports are to be believed, the actress took home around Rs. 16-24 lakhs.
After intense drama of more than 3 months, Bigg Boss 19 has finally reached its grand finale. The top 5 contestants in the race to win are Farrhana Bhatt, Gaurav Khanna, Amaal Mallik, Pranit More and Tanya Mittal. While Wikipedia claims that Gaurav has won the show, the ultimate winner will be disclosed on December 7, 2025.
