Make A Wedding Scrapbook

Weddings are a flurry of preparations and stress. Sometimes the entire wedding goes by so fast that you don’t really remember the arrangements and what happened when. But a scrapbook can really make the event memorable. Every single photo, email and even cloth snips can add to the memory creating a wonderful book that you can keep with you as a memento forever. Step 1- Get a professional scrapbook.

Yes it might be simple to stick everything in a simple book but it’s no fun like that. You can get professional albums where you can put in special pages or buy pages to make your own scrapbook. If you cannot find a professional scrapbook, buy a photo album that has sticky pages. You will get these at any professional photo processing store.

Step 2- Check online

The Internet will have several pages that you can download for free. All you have to do is use a good printer and the pages are printed out exactly how they appear on the internet. You can then use them as backdrops for your scrapbook.

Step 3- Use photos

You can use all the photos that were used during your engagement, your wedding and pre wedding functions as backdrops for the scrapbook pages. Don’t use an adhesive for the photos as you will require getting them removed in the future. If you don’t want to use the original you can ensure that you use special sepia tinted and black and white photos for the scrapbook. You will have to talk to the photographer to make extra photos for the scrapbook.  You can also upload the same photos on to your computer and then photo-edit them to create new images with fun backgrounds.

Step 4- Journaling

You have to add content to the book so that people who read the book can identify what you were feeling at that time. Write questions and then answer them yourself. Remember that you want to remember the good, the funny and the best times you had at your wedding. Prepare the questions accordingly. If you can ask a few friends to write down their comments on your wedding book, that would be great too. If possible get a wedding guest book too and attach that to your scrapbook so that you have guest comments present.

Step 5- Use memorabilia and accessories

When you create pages, stick on them your engagement announcements, your bridal shower invites, your wedding invites, your newspaper ads, and any telegrams you might have got on your wedding day. You can also add dried flowers from your hairdo, from the reception hall, scraps of wedding decorations, plane tickets and honeymoon memoirs on the page. There are also special accessories that are used to protect the memorabilia. You will be able to get transparent pockets, ribbons, flowers and pretty margins that are made only for scrapbooking.

The best part with scrapbooks is that you can create absolutely anything you want and use it as a memory of your wedding.
