Mahima Chaudhry has finally reacted to rumours of resemblance between her daughter, Ariana and 'Off Campus' actress, Mika Abdalla.
The recently released show, Off Campus is currently winning hearts online. Multiple social media pages are gushing about its story and the chemistry between characters. Amid that, a few days ago, some fans noticed that Hollywood actress, Mika Abdalla and Mahima Chaudhry’s daughter, Ariana look very similar, making people wonder if Ariana made her film debut. Well, now, Bollywood actress, Mahima has finally addressed the rumours.
Recently, Bollywood actress, Mahima Chaudhry had a conversation with Hindustan Times, during which she addresses the uncanny resemblance of her daughter, Ariana and Off Campus actress, Mika Abdalla. The actress, expressing her surprise, shared, "Yeah I know. I love her, she’s fantastic. How can people from two different continents have such an uncanny resemblance."
Further, Mahima Chaudhry revealed that ever since Off Campus released, fans have flooded her phone with messages and clips from the series. Later, when the Dil Kya Kare actress was asked if her daughter has made her acting debut with Off Campus, she was quoted as saying:
"I know, some people called and asked if Ariana had made her debut. I told them, ‘No, not yet. There’s this Campus thing that’s going viral’. A lot of people sent (it to) me. It was quite entertaining. It's flattering to see someone so cute and they say that you look like each other. I mean like, definitely use it to your advantage. I'm geeked with the resemblance. Because I find her very cute. And if people say I look like her or Ariana looks like her, I'm very happy."
During the same conversation with Hindustan Times, Mahima Chaudhry also spoke about her daughter, Ariana and if she is planning to make her acting debut. The Pardes fame stated that Ariana has just completed her schooling and has decided to take a break to figure things out; however, Mahima mentioned that she would want her daughter to be a part of the film industry. In her words:
"She just finished her 12th and she's taken a year off to figure out life. I want her to be in entertainment, for sure. I think there’s nothing better than entertaining people. Being part of the entertainment industry in any capacity… because I've enjoyed it so much. I like the industry."
For those who do not know, Ariana’s alleged lookalike Mika Abdalla is a popular actress, who is currently grabbing attention for her role as ‘Allie Hayes’ in Off Campus. Talking about her role, ‘Allie’ is shown to be a confident woman, who is dreaming to be an actress. The actress once spoke about her role in the show and explained, "I see a lot of myself in Allie, but simultaneously, she is nothing like me. Her energy is at a pretty consistent 10/10. I like to say she’s me when I’m having the best day ever."
According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, Mika Abdalla, who is currently 26 years old, has been in the acting industry for nearly two decades already. Reportedly, in her personal life, Mika is engaged to actor, Jake Short. The two met on the show, Sex Appeal and in 2021 they began dating. A few years later, in 2025, their manager confirmed their engagement.
After the show dropped on Amazon Prime Video, multiple users compared Mika Abdalla's looks with Mahima Chaudhry and her daughter, Ariana. One user wrote, "Wait what! Have I seen her in DHADKAN." Another user penned, "Is it just me or you also think she resembles Mahima Chaudhary daughter." A third user stated, "I saw a clip on insta without the sound and thought it was Mahima I was wondering where this scene was in Pardes."
