Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleLucy Davis, who is best known for her role in The Office, is hogging the spotlight after her recent health update. Taking to social media, the actress shared with fans that after being diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer, it has metastasized to her bones. According to the 53-year-old, the cancer is incurable, and it's too late for chemo.
However, instead of feeling disheartened, Lucy claimed that she is trying to live out her remaining days while having as much fun as possible. Amid this, Lucy’s statements about wanting to fall in love again after her divorce have surfaced.
For those unaware, Lucy Davis was previously married to Welsh actor Owain Yeoman. He is best known for playing CBI Agent ‘Wayne Rigsby’ in the CBS series, The Mentalist. It was in America that she first crossed paths with Owain and later tied the knot in 2006 at St. Paul’s Cathedral after a whirlwind six-month romance.
However, their marriage did not last for long as they decided to go their separate ways in February 2011. Their divorce was finalized a few months later in October 2011, when the former couple cited irreconcilable differences. After the divorce, Lucy revealed in an interview that she was hit with some pretty harsh comments by fans. She said:
“I remember reading when I split from my husband that he’s good-looking and I’m not, so therefore he deserves better…No, I just felt real compassion for that person who just looked at a photo of me and made a judgment about me based on how I look.”
Lucy revealed that after her new single status, she did go on dates. However, she was still coming to terms with US-style dating. According to the actress, in the UK, people would normally meet through friends, get to know them, and then maybe hook up. Meanwhile, giving the example of LA, she said that when you have met someone, you're having coffee together at a cafe and there is no alcohol involved. She reportedly found that ‘weird.’
Coming to the topic of marriage, when Lucy Davis was asked in the interview if she would consider tying the knot a second time, she admitted that previously, she never cared about wanting to get married. But once she got married, she understood why people do it. In her words:
“I never used to want to get married, but once I was married, I got it. But it just didn’t work. But there you go! But how could I not want to fall in love again? That will happen one day. But right now, I’m just so happy. I’ve got my dog Gracie after all.”
On August 11, 2026, Lucy Davis took to social media to give an update about her cancer. She revealed that she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer about a year and a half ago. Speaking from experience, the actress urged her fans not to ignore anything, as she too had previously skipped a tiny lump she had felt. A part of her note reads:
"I wanted to share something with you all that I've kept to myself for a while but for various reasons would like to share now. A year and a half ago I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer, which has metastasized to my bones. Specifically to my spine, right hip, and my ribs. The cancer is incurable, and too late for chemo. The initial lump that I felt wasn't a 'lump' as such; rather, a kind of hard spot. Really tiny. I almost didn't bother getting it checked."
