Lori Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, separated and began living apart several months ago. Now, the Full House star has finally decided to file their divorce paperwork a few days ago, on September 4, 2026. According to reports, Lori listed the date of separation as August 31, 2025.

The actress cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their divorce. The filing revealed that the pair already had a prenup in place before they tied the knot in November 1997. Lori and Mossimo had amended the prenup in 2015.

On October 2, 2025, two months after Lori and Mossimo had separated, the former's representative, Elizabeth Much, confirmed the split in a statement and said:

“They are living apart and taking a break from their marriage. There are no legal proceedings at this time.”

Their split came after Lori and Mossimo listed their 11,800-square-foot mansion in Hidden Hills for USD 16.5 million in February 2025. The duo had initially purchased the home for USD 9.5 million after they were involved in a high-profile college admissions scandal involving their daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose Giannulli, in 2019.

Did infidelity play a part in Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli’s separation?

A source close to Lori and Mossimo claimed that the actress allegedly found “incriminating” texts and emails on the latter’s phone. For those unaware, at that time, Mossimo had been spotted hanging out with stylist Hannah Harrison. However, another insider said that it was just a case of “bad timing” and that Mossimo’s relationship with her was strictly “platonic.”

They claimed that the real reason Lori and Mossimo’s marriage hit the rocks was due to their “varsity blues” college admission scandal. The couple was indicted for paying fixer Rick Singer a large sum of USD 500,000 to pass off their daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose Giannulli, as potential rowers.

This was to help their daughters get admission to the University of Southern California, even though Olivia and Isabella had never participated in the sport before. Calling this a “turning point” in Lori and Mossimo's relationship, the source said:

"The school scandal was a turning point, and they never really connected or recovered their relationship after that. She felt that he got her involved. She didn't fully blame him, but he spearheaded it."

They further noted that Lori Loughlin “never fully forgave him and never fully got over it, and they were never the same after.” It was not a happy situation for Lori. The insider shared:

"It's not a happy situation for her. They're in very different places right now, and it's unlikely that they'll find their way back together."

For the unversed, in 2020, Lori and Mossimo both pleaded guilty to wire and mail fraud. The actress was sentenced to two months in federal prison, while Mossimo was sentenced to five months. Lori completed her sentence and was released from prison in December 2020.
