The story of Love Insurance Kompany is set in 2040 and revolves around two central characters, 'Dheema' and 'Vasu'. Pradeep Ranganathan is the male lead of the romantic comedy film, Love Insurance Kompany. He stepped into the shoes of the character, 'Vasu'. According to a report by Her Zindagi, Pradeep allegedly took home the highest pay cheque of Rs. 17 crore for his role in the film, LIK. Reportedly, he earned Rs. 13 crore for his role in Dude. According to the latest report by Valaipechu, Pradeep will soon begin a project with Mythri Movie. Reportedly, the production house has offered him a whopping remuneration of around Rs. 50 crore for the new project. Earlier, Pradeep received Rs. 70 lakh for his debut film, Love Today.
For the uninitiated, Krithi Shetty is the female lead of the romantic comedy film, Love Insurance Kompany. SJ Suryah has stepped into the shoes of the antagonist, 'Suriyan'. According to the same report by Her Zindagi, Krithi allegedly earned Rs. 1 crore, and SJ Suryah reportedly charged around Rs. 10 crore for their roles in the film, LIK.
Alongside Pradeep Ranganathan, Krithi Shetty, and SJ Suryah, the film also stars Yogi Babu, Gouri G Kishan and more. According to the same report by Her Zindagi, Gouri G Kishan reportedly took home Rs. 40 lakh for her role. Another reason behind Love Insurance Kompany dominating the headlines is the background score. It was Anirudh Ravichander who took care of the soundtracks in the film. For this, he reportedly charged Rs. 12 crore.
The story of LIK revolves around 'Dheema' and 'Vasu' whose lives get connected through the app, LIK. Set in 2040, the romantic comedy film features a world in which people are fully dependent on an app called LIK that dictates to people when to fall in love and when to break up. 'Dheema' is among the many who blindly follow the instructions given by the app, while 'Vasu' is the voice behind the app. It is love at first sight for 'Vasu'.
The major highlight of the film is SJ Suryah and Pradeep Ranganathan’s strong screen presence. Although the film brought a fresh concept of a tech-driven world, it failed to impress due to the lack of fantasy in it. In fact, critics found the second half of the film dragged. A film critic wrote on X (formerly Twitter):
"#LIK A futuristic rom-com with an interesting concept and setup, but the execution is underwhelming. The film’s main USP is its futuristic world-building. It feels outlandish at times but generates some fun in the first half. The concept is interesting and has potential, but the execution doesn’t come together. The paper-thin plot gets exposed in the second half, and the film goes nowhere and feels dragged out."
