British Singer, Lauren Bennett has passed away at the age of 37. According to reports, the singer died over three weeks ago. However, the news of her demise was made public on July 6, 2026 (ET). While fans have been heartbroken over the loss, curiosity around the circumstances of her death has also come into focus. Amid that, old comments where Bennett talked about her mental health have also surfaced, making fans question if it somehow played a role in her demise.

Lauren Bennett's sudden passing has left everyone in utter shock. The British singer was only 37 years old when she passed away. It was revealed that Bennett passed away over three weeks ago, and a private memorial for her was held by her family and friends in Kent. However, the cause of her death is yet to be revealed. Amid that, speculations have been that the singer was struggling with her own mental health. 

According to reports, it wasn't long ago when Lauren Bennett opened up about her own struggles with mental health. The singer had openly talked about her mental health and even shared her story through her music. The best-known single that talked about her struggle with loss was Hurricane, where she reflected on her mother's struggle with her mental health, the passing of her friend and bandmate and how the two incidents affected her.

While nothing can yet be confirmed, the speculations have gained momentum on social media, with many fans pointing out that Lauren Bennett's mental health struggle might have something to do with her passing. For the unversed, Bennett was a mother to a six-year-old named Harlow, whom she shared with her long-time partner, Kenny Wormald.

Lauren Bennett was an avid advocate for mental health awareness, and the biggest reason for it was her own struggle with it, especially after seeing her mother and bandmate struggle with their own mental health. According to reports, Bennett's mother suffered from mental health issues for years. However, Bennett never got into details of what happened to her. 

Meanwhile, she was also affected by her G.R.L. bandmate, Simone Battle, taking her own life, which really broke her. For the unversed, it was after Simone's death that the group disbanded, leading to a long period of uncertainty for Lauren Bennett. While the band got back together after over a year, the time had left a deep scar on Bennett.

She spoke about the same in her song, Hurricane, and shared with fans how it affected her, even though she wasn't directly linked to it. At the time of the song's release, Lauren Bennett was quoted as saying:

"After G.R.L. ended, I had no idea what was going to happen next; everything fell apart pretty fast. That's when this song was written. After seeing my mother suffer with mental struggles for years, I then lost a friend to this. It has always affected my life in some way. We all at least know someone who has dealt with it or have dealt with it yourself. This is a story to show from my eyes what it feels like to suffer from this, but also the other perspective to lose someone to this"
