A look at Kyrsten Sinema's Instagram handle shows that in 2021 she was dealing with a very painful setback. It was during a marathon when Kyrsten broke her foot while running through a tunnel. The injury had not dampened her enthusiasm for her buddies who had competed next to her.
Kyrsten Sinema, who herself has been an avid athlete for years, took part in the Light at the End of the Tunnel Marathon back in June 2021. The marathon took place in Washington. During the race, Sinema suffered a foot injury, but she continued for another mile. Kyrsten could not help a friend reach the finish line.
Kyrsten Sinema shared an Instagram post titled, "How it started. How it’s going". Kyrsten stated that she and her friends had originally planned to complete the race earlier, but they had to wait due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In her words:
"We came to @tunnelmarathons after a year delay (thanks covid). @pandemic_bride and @adamlongo had some BQs to punch! Race morning my hydration bladder burst! Nbd, just borrowed one from @elmcclurg (thanks, clutch!) and off we went. Broke my foot in the tunnel and decided about a mile later that I probably couldn’t help @pandemic_bride to her BQ finish line on a broken foot."
Kyrsten Sinema continued in her note that during the race her hydration bladder had burst. This was during the morning of the race. Rather than abandoning the same, she had borrowed another hydration bladder from fellow runner El McClurg. Kyrsten's post continued:
"Off to the hospital, where @hotsauceandwine dropped me at the front door, RACED back to welcome @adamlongo to his first BQ. Shout out to the best sherpa on the planet! A few minutes later, they welcomed @pandemic_bride to her first BQ. Penie raced this whole thing like a boss. I called in from the hospital. I can’t wait to heal up and run @bostonmarathon with these speedy kids! So proud of them both. Heart full, leg slow."
Kyrsten Sinema has faced a tough situation due to her foot injury. A netizen seeing her post wrote, "Cute thighs; wish I could kiss each one of those toes." As her personal life is now affected due to her affair case, an angry user had shared, "Hopefully you don’t have kids. Would hate for your lack of ability to address gun laws to affect them. You’re a monster. I wish you cared about your soul." A user also noted:
"Great job, sorry you did not finish the race. It happens sometimes. Good luck at Boston! Thank you for working for Arizona and not being manipulated by your party. Putting your state above politics. You will heal fast. Gosh I hope your foot doesn’t get infected and you get blood poisoning from the sepsis. That’d break my heart."
Kyrsten Sinema had not given up despite facing the injury. However, she was in so much of pain that she could not give company to her friend during the match. Kyrsten had to be taken to a hospital to treat her fractured foot, which was in a cast.
