Recently, 'Summer House' star, Kyle Cooke opened up about the backlash his ex-wife, Amanda Batula is facing after she confirmed her relationship with West Wilson.
The reality TV show, Summer House Season 10 is dominating the headlines right now, after Amanda Batula and West Wilson confirmed their relationship on March 31, 2026, through a long post shared on their Instagram handle. However, ever since the two confirmed their romance, they have been receiving mixed responses from the audience and their co-stars. Amid the hate and backlash, Amanda's ex-husband, Kyle Cooke has come forward and expressed concern towards her.
Recently, Kyle Cooke had a conversation with NYC-based journalist, Adam Glyn, during which he opened up about his ex-wife, Amanda confirming her relationship with Summer House fame, West Wilson. Kyle expressed his concern over the backlash Amanda is facing. He was quoted as saying:
"I'm good, I’m actually really worried about Amanda, if I’m being honest. I talked to her before their statement came out, she gave me a heads up, and I talked to her last night. I understand people have all sorts of opinions and I'm not justifying any kind of behavior, but from what I'm seeing she's kind of getting cyber bullied. Amanda knows that what she did was wrong. And she's trying to come to terms with it. But she is not well."
Further, in the same conversation, Kyle Cooke also opened up about Amanda Batula’s now-boyfriend, West Wilson. Apart from showing concern, the Summer House fame shared West is the kind of the guy who would play with multiple women at the same time. Kyle continued by sharing that amid all the backlash, the audience have decided that West deserves their follow, whereas Amanda is receiving backlash. In his words:
"All I know is West seems to be the kind of guy playing multiple women at the same time. And somehow, in all of this, like 50,000 people have decided that West deserves their follow. Meanwhile, they're just lighting up Amanda. I just feel bad."
On March 31, 2026, Amanda and West took to their respective Instagram handles and shared a Story, confirming their relationship. The duo shared a long note, in which they revealed that they have been friends since a long time and they did not expect to fall in love. Further, they explained the reason behind their silence amid the ongoing speculations. A part of their note can be read as:
"We've shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what's developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care."
Coming to Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula’s relationship, the two met in 2015 and later parted ways in January 2026. According to a report by Cosmopolitan, the ex-couple met through mutual friends and soon connected. They even appeared on Summer House Season 1 and by the finale of the same, they had confirmed their relationship.
It is worth mentioning that over the years, Kyle and Amanda faced multiple issues in their relationship, however, they decided to stay with each other. In 2018, the two got engaged and later, in 2021, they tied the knot in New Jersey. Reportedly, around their engagement, Kyle had confirmed that he cheated on Amanda; however, the latter forgave him.
