Recently, Krystle D'Souza addressed trolls comparing her with Ayesha Khan in the dance number, 'Shararat' from the film, 'Dhurandhar'.
Ranveer Singh's latest film, Dhurandhar has been making a lot of noise on social media. The film recently crossed Rs. 1000 crore globally, and there is no sign of slowing down. Ever since the film was released, fans can't stop talking about Akshaye Khanna's acting and the song, Shararat, featuring Ayesha Khan and Krystle D’Souza. However, multiple users are comparing the two dancers in the song. Well, Krystle has now addressed the trolls.
Recently, Krystle D’Souza sat down for a candid conversation with News18, during which she opened up about her song, Shararat, from the film, Dhurandhar. For the unversed, the song has been grabbing a lot of attention and a few users have been saying that Ayesha was far better than Krystle in it. During the candid chat, the Fittrat actress addressed these trolls and shared:
"Four women have come together, and that’s one of the best things about Shararat. I see trolls saying, ‘She did better than the other’. But it’s not about that. Who cares? Enjoy the song and have fun! It’s so sad that in order to praise someone, you drag another person down. I feel sad for people who do this."
Krystle D’Souza continued to hail the hard work that went in making the song so beautifully. She explained that one harsh comment disrespects the same. Krystle also stated that if people do not have anything good to say, they should keep quiet. She also highlighted the fact that the world will be beautiful if women support each other. In her words:
"They don’t understand that everyone has their own talents and share of struggles. We all work hard and try to be consistent year after year. To take that away with one such comment is just stupid and immature. I, in fact, have seen a lot of women making these comments. As women, the least we can do is support another woman. If they can’t support, then they should just keep quiet. We’ve reached a certain stage in our life and by making such comments, you’re dragging the whole race back by years. We should push and build each other. A world filled with supportive women is beautiful."
While the song is garnering a lot of attention, a few reports claimed that the first choice for the song was actress, Tamannaah Bhatia. However, the makers did not want the song to overshadow the events at Hamza and Yalina’s walima, which is why they decided to go ahead with Ayesha and Krystle. However, a few days ago, the choreographer of the song revealed that Tamannaah was never considered for the song. He had shared a post on his Instagram handle, which said:
"To clarify: Tamannaah Bhatia was never under consideration because her star power is so significant it might have overwhelmed the specific needs of this scene."
For those who don’t know, the song, Shararat is sung by Madhubanti Bagchi and Jasmine Sandlas. The much-loved song is composed by Shashwat Sachdev. Talking about the film, Dhurandhar, it is directed by Aditya Dhar and stars Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khana, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi and more. It is worth mentioning that the sequel of the film is all set to release in March 2026.
