Recently, Krunal Pandya opened up about the alleged rift rumours with his brother, Hardik Pandya, after the IPL clash between MI and RCB.
Krunal Pandya and Hardik Pandya are one of the most talked-about and celebrated sibling duo in the history of cricket. Recently, in the latest IPL 2026 clash between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore, Krunal Pandya was seen celebrating the wicket of his brother unlike before. This sparked rumours of rift between the brothers. Well, now Krunal Pandya has come forward and shut down all the rumours.
According to a report by News18, Krunal Pandya recently sat down for a candid interview with Cricbuzz, during which he opened up about his cricket journey. Further, he indirectly also addressed rift rumours with his brother, Hardik. Even though he didn’t say anything directly, he mentioned the names of Hardik Pandya and Keiron Pollard as the ‘best finishers’ of cricket.
According to the same report by News 18, the shining star of RCB, Krunal Pandya also opened up about his cricket journey. During the same, Krunal shared that his ultimate goal is to play for country. Further, he also recalled his time playing in white-ball cricket format and revealed that he did a decent job at that time. He concluded by explaining that he will continue to do what he is best at and the rest he has rest to God. Krunal Pandya was quoted as saying:
"The ultimate goal is to represent the country, and I don’t dwell too much on it. I want to keep doing what is in my control, which is to go out there and perform and win games. And in that process, if I get that opportunity, I’ll be really glad because that’s the ultimate goal – playing for the country. And yes, whatever opportunity I got playing for the country in white-ball cricket, I did a pretty decent job at that time. It’s just that I want to do my thing, and the rest I leave to God."
For those who do not know, the rift rumours began after the latest match of Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. At the match that happened at Wankhede Stadium, Krunal looked extremely happy after taking the wicket of his brother, Hardik, after which the latter gave him a death stare. Apart from this, unlike the previous seasons, Hardik and Krunal allegedly also avoided a handshake at the end of the match.
