US politician, Kristi Noem is currently all over the news after she was fired from her position as the Secretary of Homeland Security after being accused of infidelity. There were many controversies pertaining to Kristi but her extra marital affair with her top aid, Corey Lewandowski was considered as one of the major reasons for her firing. But do you know the pair fanned the rumours when they chose to close living quarters in Washington D.C.
Both Kristi and Corey are married, however, the chatter about their alleged affair never fail to grab attention. Amid the raising rumours of their illicit relationship, it was reported that the duo chose to live in close quarters. As per Daily Mail, the secretary of homeland security and Donald Trump's former campaign manager, were living opposite each other in Navy Yard.
The residents often spotted them together and they regularly frequented each other’s home. The reports about Kristi and Corey’s living situation initially broke in April 2025 and residents were certain that the duo is more than professionals. An insider proclaimed:
“There's no question their relationship is ongoing. They continue to travel together, they continue to socialize together. Very clearly, they're still having an extra-marital relationship.”
After the news of Kristi and Corey’s close living situation was exposed and became public, Noem moved to the Coast Guard Commandant's quarters. But Daily Mail reported that Noem was still a frequent visitor of her home. But DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin stated that Kristi moved to a new place for greater security after she faced political threats.
But, for some, Kristi’s temporary shifting was a way to avoid photographers, who frequently clicked her with Cory. An anonymous administration official spoke about the same and revealed that Kristi didn’t relocate dur to security reasons. As per the official:
“She wanted to move so photographers couldn't be on site and show what's going on, so she and Corey could be more private."
The rumours of Kristi Noem and Corey Lewandowski began in 2020 when people first spotted Noem and Lewandowski getting frisky at a Mar-a-Lago event. A New York Post claimed that they were all over each other during the 2021 Conservative Political Action Conference. The alleged affair of Kristi was even known to her husband, Byron, but he chose to keep mum for the sake of her reputation. A source even claimed that Kristi and Corey didn’t even try to hide their close relationship even at work. As per the source:
“She and her chief of affair(s) show up to every public safety event like it's a couples' retreat."
