Journalist Jonathan Van Meter is all set to publish a detailed biography of Kim Kardashian, and the book has been titled Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future.
Jonathan and Kim worked together on the book for five years, and it is slated to be released on October 27, 2026. Speaking about this upcoming biography on her, Kim, while being on Jimmy Kimmel Live, said that she teared up while reading the book, as it helped her to see herself in a way that she never did.
Kim trusts the author, Jonathan, and it is one of the reasons she decided to do the book, and it's something that is believed by Van Meter himself, who recently shared Kris Jenner's reaction when one of her secrets was exposed in the book. The author and journalist, Van Meter, was asked in a new interview whether the Kardashian-Jenner clan read his book.
To this, Van Meter shared that Kim revealed an incident that happened when she was at her sister Khloe's house. According to the journalist, Kim told him that Khloe shared that their mom, Kris Jenner flipped out on camera when she got to know that her affair from a long ago has been exposed in the book. Kim told Van that Kris was yelling, asking why the SKIMS founder 'dragged them all down'. Kris Jenner reportedly asked:
"Why did Kim drag us all into this? Why is my affair from 30 years ago in the book?”
The journalist-author further revealed that the matriarch was fine in two days. Van shared that this is going to be on the show, The Kardashians. Kim allegedly told her mom, Kris, that several stories are being written about them, and if someone gets them and wants to explain why, they shouldn't want them. According to Van Meter, that's the closest he got to answering why the SKIMS founder did this book. Kim allegedly told her mom, Kris:
"All this stuff gets written about us, and then a guy comes along who gets us and wants to explain us. Why wouldn’t you want that?”
Kris Jenner had been married twice in her life. She tied the knot with Robert Kardashian in 1978, and in 1991, they parted ways. Kris shared four children with her late ex-husband: Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, and Rob Kardashian. Kris married Caitlyn Jenner (Bruce) in 1991, and they were divorced in 2015. The couple shares two kids, Kendall and Kylie. It was in her book, Kris Jenner and All Things Kardashian, that Kris revealed she cheated on Robert Kardashian with 'Ryan' (Todd Waterman).
Kris expressed her regret over her affair, which she described as a 'wild' one. Kris shared that she was having a midlife crisis, and she didn't understand that marriage comes with ups and downs. She admitted that she was restless, and the result was the affair, which she considers to be the biggest regret of her life. Kris shared:
"Robert had been the only man in my life since I was 18. I don’t know why I was having a mid-life crisis at 30. His name was Ryan, and he was a producer. We had wild sex everywhere, all the time. When you’re very young, you do a lot of stupid things. It’s probably the biggest regret of my life that I ended up having an affair. [I was] probably just really naive and stupid and restless and didn’t realize that marriage has its ups and downs.”
