Bollywood actress, Kirti Kulhari has shocked the entire film industry by announcing her separation from her husband, Saahil Sehgal after four years of their married life. She posted a painful note on her Instagram handle hinting at the reasons behind this massive decision. For the unversed, Kirti had tied the marital knot with her boyfriend and actor, Saahil Sehgal in June 2016 in Bhutan. Saahil is also an actor, who had made his Hollywood debut with the film, Basmati Blues in 2017.

While most of the celebrities enjoy talking about their personal lives in media, Kirti Kulhari is one of the few celebrities who has been keeping her personal life private and rarely shares pictures with her partner on her social media handles. However, with time, Kirti had started posting cutesy pictures with her husband, Saahil Sehgal on her Instagram handle and started spilling beans about their love story in media. Just when her massive fanbase had started enjoying the romantic camaraderie of this beautiful couple, this heartbreaking news of their separation came like a huge shock to everyone.
On April 1, 2021, Pink fame, Kirti Kulhari took to her Instagram handle and shared a painful note in which she announced that she and her husband, Saahil Sehgal have decided to separate after four years of their marital life. The actress clearly stated that it's not an easy decision for her, but it is what it is. Her note can be read as "A simple note to let everyone know that my husband Saahil and I have decided to separate. Not on paper, but in life. A decision that's probably harder than the decision of "being with somebody", because coming together is celebrated by everyone you love and care about."
Going further in her note, Kirti Kulhari also added that she's in a good place at the moment, and she'll not comment on this matter any more. She added, "And the decision of "not being with somebody" brings along pain and hurt to the same people. It's not easy. Guess it's not meant to be easy but IT IS WHAT IT IS. To all those who really care, I am in good place and I hope everyone who matters in my life is too. Will not be commenting further on this. Upward and Onward …Always.. Kirti Kulhari." Also, there's not a single picture of Kirti with Saahil anymore in her Instagram handle.

It was only last year, in August 2020, when in an interview with ETimes, Kirti Kulhari had talked about her marriage with Saahil Sehgal and had revealed how much their wedding had affected her career. The actress had stated that, "My marriage has affected my career in the best possible way. I have a husband who knows much more than me about films. I have learnt so much from him. We watch a movie and discuss things. I grew so much as a person and as an actor and all the apprehensions I had before my marriage, were all broken by him. He has supported me in the most amazing way and helped me reach where I am today. Even my in-laws supported me blindly which means a lot to me." After seven months of this interview, reading about Kirti and Saahil's separation is nothing less than a nightmare for this glamorous actress's massive fans.
