For those unaware, her 15-year-old son, KJ Biermann, whom she shares with her estranged husband, Kroy Biermann, was taken into custody on charges of sodomy and sexual battery. Kim has already spoken out since the arrest, vehemently denying all allegations against KJ. Now, with the spotlight on Kim, here's a look at when she accused Kroy Biermann of cheating.
Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s 12-year marriage was not without its ups and downs. However, Kim said that what led her to file for divorce from him in 2023 was that “he cheated.”
While speaking about the status of her divorce during an interview, Kim made the shocking revelation that Kroy had threatened to “publicly destroy” her. The reality TV star claimed that Kroy had made his intentions clear to her daughters as well. In her words:
“No movement, no change, just constant antics. When I said I was coming for divorce, he said, I'm gonna publicly destroy you. And he told both my daughters that as well, and that's been his goal, and that's all he cares about. It hasn't worked yet.”
Despite the difficult divorce proceedings and the threats made by Kroy, Kim admitted that she was happier than ever. She said that she had already moved on with a new man who was also going through a divorce. When responding to claims that she is dating a married man, Kim said:
“I'm sorry, I'm legally married and so is he. So he's been going through a divorce for years as well. So I don't know. I guess I'm supposed to wait until I'm legally divorced, which I don't think Kroy will ever give me a divorce.”
It is worth mentioning that Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann had initially filed for divorce in May 2023, but they quickly called it off. The former couple filed for divorce once again just months later in August 2023. As per court documents obtained by Fox News Digital at that time, Kroy had said that their marriage was “irretrievably broken.”
The duo shares four children: KJ, Kash, and twins Kaia and Kane. The former football player had also adopted Kim’s two adult daughters from a previous relationship, Brielle and Ariana Zolciak-Biermann.
Kim Zolciak’s teenage son, KJ Biermann, was arrested after a girl claimed that he assaulted her inside a gym changing area. The girl was later identified as KJ’s female classmate. Despite the severe nature of the allegations, Kim Zolciak is clearly unwilling to believe any of them. In a statement to Page Six, the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum denied the claims against KJ and said:
“The allegations being made against my son are nothing short of reckless and deeply troubling. He categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged.”
Kim revealed that her son had passed a voluntary polygraph examination. She added that another examination that was conducted also showed that KJ’s DNA was not found on the girl. According to her, KJ’s female classmate has a history of making similar claims against two other people. Kim said that this raises serious concerns that must be “carefully examined.”
Kim further noted that “false accusations” like these could have devastating consequences for the one who is being accused. The same is true for “genuine survivors of sexual assault and abuse.”
