Kendra Duggar is reportedly making major financial moves behind the scenes after her husband, Joseph Duggar, was arrested on charges of molesting a minor.
The infamous Duggar family has been in the headlines for the disturbing allegations against 19 Kids and Counting fame, Joseph Duggar, later joined by his wife, Kendra Duggar. The former TLC star was arrested on March 18, 2026, after he reportedly confessed to engaging in inappropriate sexual conduct with a minor during a family vacation in Florida in 2020, when the victim was only nine years old. Not long after his arrest, his wife, Kendra, was also arrested for a different reason and was later released. With the legal trouble around her husband mounting, the mother of four now appears to be doing everything she can to keep the family afloat amid Joseph's bond.
According to recent reports, Kendra has begun listing several valuable family belongings for sale and is also preparing to rent out the home she shares with Joseph and their kids. While she has been kept away from her little ones for her own ongoing case regarding alleged mistreatment, she is reportedly focusing on securing the cash for Joseph's bail bond and eventually bringing the children home.
Kendra was released from jail on March 20, 2026, and shortly after, she began discussing cash grab options with Joseph, as revealed by their phone calls during Joseph's time in prison. During one of the calls obtained by PEOPLE, the couple allegedly discussed liquidating their belongings, mentioning the various items that they could sell, including trailers, a four-wheeler, a pressure washer, a wood splitter, and other equipment.
In a recorded jail call, Joseph and Kendra reportedly spoke about the urgency of bringing in a steady income. Both reportedly agreed that renting out their Arkansas home could be a suitable way to provide consistent financial support while dealing with their respective legal costs. PEOPLE reported that Kendra has already moved out of her home and relocated into a secluded "private" residence and has already moved belongings out of the house, signaling that the plan is actively underway.
On March 31, 2026, Joseph was released from the Bay County Jail on a USD 600,000 bond. Currently, Joseph is out on pre-trial release and is back home with Kendra in Arkansas. He has been charged USD 500,000 for sexual molestation of a victim under 12, and an additional USD 100,000 for one count of lewd and lascivious conduct, as per Florida law. Now out of prison, he has to comply with strict bond conditions, including supervised contact with minors under 18, including his own children and two of his 18 siblings.
Besides Joseph, Kendra, too, is facing some serious charges of child endangerment after her arrest, though unrelated to her husband's legal case. She was arrested on March 20, 2026, after being charged with four counts of second-degree child endangerment and four counts of second-degree false imprisonment. All of these charges stemmed from the alleged mistreatment of her own four children, after officials found them locked inside their rooms and restricted their movement.
While she was released hours later after paying a USD 1,470 bond, she is under strict no-contact orders with her kids until the case resolves. PEOPLE reported a phone conversation from March 22, 2026, between Kendra and Joseph while the latter was in custody. When Joseph asked her how their children were doing, she sobbed and told him that she no longer had her children's custody. At the same time, both Joseph and Kendra are dealing with a separate case in Arkansas, where they face multiple misdemeanor charges related to child welfare. The couple is scheduled to appear in court for that case on April 29, 2026.
