Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleKelly Osbourne, in a candid interview, revealed that she doesn't want her son, Sidney, to have a childhood like hers. The singer is a doting mother to the three-year-old she shares with her ex-fiancé, Sid Wilson. She revealed that she just wants to give her son a more stable upbringing.
Kelly Osbourne, who moved from Los Angeles to the United Kingdom earlier in 2026, has now opened up about parenthood. In a conversation with The Sun dated October 11, 2026, she explained that the move was to give her three-year-old a different childhood than the one she had. The singer, who shot to fame as a teen on her family's reality show, The Osbournes, said she initially liked the idea of her son growing up the way she did.
However, it didn't take long for her to realize it wasn't the healthiest way to raise a child. Kelly Osbourne pointed out how a child needs stability and routine, and added that she knew she had to provide that for her son, Sidney. She was quoted as saying:
"I want my son to have a different childhood to mine. At first, when he was younger, and we were on the road a lot [with Wilson's band Slipknot], I was like, 'This is great. He gets to grow up just like me.' And then I thought, 'No, this actually isn't healthy for him, and this is exposing him to too much. I've got to get him home.'"
In the same conversation, Kelly Osbourne revealed that she always knew that if she ever had a child, she would raise them in England. So, moving back to England felt right to her. Kelly, who said she is building a farm in the U.K., also explained that gun violence in the United States, particularly in schools, influenced her decision to move back to England. She was quoted as saying:
"We always said that if we ever have a child, he's going to be raised in England. When I moved back to the U.K., I finally felt like me again. I don't ever want to have to explain to my son what you do in school if there's somebody with a gun. And that's a genuine reality."
Kelly Osbourne had previously shared that her son, Sidney, was attending the same Buckinghamshire preschool that she went to growing up. She added that the school holds fond memories of the friendships she formed there. Kelly revealed that it was the place where she met her best friend, and now her kids also attend the same school.
The singer's son, Sidney, "just loves it" there, and so does Kelly herself. She said she is "so involved in the school - PTA meetings, events, all of it." She added that it was a great change as she never thought she would be the type of mother who would be involved in her child's school activities, but she absolutely loves it. She even claimed that she was all over her parents' WhatsApp group.
Kelly Osbourne also opened up to the outlet about her difficult year. For the unversed, it was in July 2025 that she lost her father, Ozzy Osbourne. She also split from her former fiancé, Sid Wilson, earlier in March 2026. She reflected on the year and said it was the worst of her life. However, it was also really "beautiful because I've learned that my grief is an honor, as I truly love someone that much."
She further called Sidney a "true Osbourne," claiming that he has "got my dad in him, and I'm like, 'Thank God.' He has all Dad's mannerisms." She explained that her son spent the first two years of his life with his grandparents, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, which has made him extremely independent and won't "let anyone make him be who he's not." She also reflected on regaining weight after the grief led to extreme weight loss and said:
"Do you know that I’ve gained 2 stone (26 lbs) since the BRITs?"
