Kavya Gowda's husband, Somashekar is reportedly hospitalised amid a family dispute. Did the couple in love meet through an arranged marriage?
Kannada TV actress, Kavya Gowda is very famous in the regional entertainment industry. She has been known for her breathtaking role in Radha Ramana. Right now, Kavya and her husband, Somashekar, are in the hospital in Bengaluru after they were attacked by a relative over a family dispute. According to a report by the Week, Kavya was threatened with ra** while her husband was sta**ed. Kavya has reportedly strained relations with her sister-in-law despite the entire family staying together.
The alleged incident took place in Bengaluru on December 26, 2026, as per the report. The complaint was filed by Kavya's sister, Bavya Gowda, who alleged that her sister was physically assau**ed and also threatened. Bavya shared that obsc*** language was used on the couple. The report mentioned that Somashekar's brother, Nandish, along with his wife, Prema and relatives, are involved in the alleged incident. However, here is the love story of Kavya and Somashekar, which is all things magical.
Kavya Gowda had her pre-wedding shoot in Dubai and had surprised her fans by sharing pictures of the same. Earlier, in an interview with the Times Of India, before her marriage, Kavya revealed of tying the knot with Somasekar. She shared that he is a Bengaluru-based businessman and that she met him via an arranged marriage setup. It was in 2021 that the couple had an intimate wedding ceremony, reportedly in Bengaluru. Kavya shared that her parents were looking for a groom and found Somashekar to be a good match. In her words:
"It’s an arranged marriage. My parents had been on the lookout for a partner for me, and found Somashekar to be a good match. I accepted their choice, as my parents only have my best interest in their hearts. When I spoke to Somashekar, I felt he is a nice guy with whom I can began a new chapter of my life.”
Kavya Gowda further told the publication that as she got married during the COVID-19 pandemic, she and Somashekar completely followed the guidelines laid by the government. Kavya shared that in her family, she is the youngest daughter, and so is Somashekar in his family. Ideally, both their families wanted their wedding to be a grand one. However, they had to keep in mind that, due to the second wave of pandemic, they decided to opt for a simple wedding.
Before Kavya got married, she had taken to her Instagram handle to write about how she was desperately waiting every second to start her new journey with Somashekar. She revealed that the best days of her life are the one's she spends with him and confessed of never meeting a nice person like him in her life. Kavya, in her post, spoke about the qualities she likes in Somashekar and wrote:
"Your innocence, patience , love and care makes me feel that I am on top of the world. You are the best that I can close my eyes and easily trust my life with you. Thank you for making my life more colourful and beautiful, I promise that I will be with you in every moment of your life. I want you to conquer every dream of yours and I promise no matter what comes your way, stand right behind you in all your endeavours!"
Kavya further in her sweet post shared that she trusts Sai Baba and that trust has never let her down. She revealed that there is a saying which goes like, "We need to wait for best things to happen in life." Kavya revealed of feeling glad that her wait of finding the right partner has ended. She thanked the universe for making her meet a wonderful person like Somashekar in her life. She called him the universe’s biggest gift and that she will always be grateful to Sai Baba for making her meet her husband. Kavya ended her note by sending love and kisses to him in her note.
Kavya and Somashekar are blessed with a baby girl who entered their lives on January 22, 2024. When the couple celebrated their second anniversary, Kavya, in her sweet note, wrote about how she and her husband have shared so much. She has seen Somashekar become more responsible, caring and mature. Expressing her deepest feelings for her husband, Kavya wrote:
"I swear I couldn't love you more than I do right now, and yet I know I will tomorrow. You are all that matters to me, and you always will be. You are the man that I want to spend the rest of my life with, and I promise to always love you and cherish each moment that we spend together."
