Karuppu Movie Cast Fees, Not Trisha Krishnan But Suriya Took Highest Amount Of Rs. 45 Cr For Movie

Fans of South Indian stars, Suriya and Trisha Krishnan, are all excited to see them together in the action fantasy drama movie, Karuppu. The film was set to release on May 14, 2026, but is seeing a delay in release. Amid these conversations related to the movie's cast fees has surfaced on social media. It is interesting to note that not Trisha Krishnan but Suriya received the highest remuneration.

Actor, Suriya charged Rs. 45 crore for Karuppu

A report by the Times Of India revealed that actor, Suriya is the lead star in the movie and will be donning two roles. It is natural for him to be the highest earner. The report revealed that the Tamil superstar charged Rs. 45 crore for the film. A source close to the publication also revealed that he could have taken home somewhere around Rs. 45 to Rs. 50 crore for the film, which also included backend deals.

Trisha Krishnan is being paid Rs. 5 crore for Karuppu

The report further revealed that Trisha Krishnan charged Rs. 5 crore for the movie. This is because she is one of the top leading actresses of Tamil cinema. For the unversed, Suriya is playing a lawyer called 'Saravanan' who is seen dressed in white and also speaks calmly. On the flip side, he also plays the role of 'Lord Karuppu'. Trisha, on the other hand, plays the role of a lawyer called 'Preethi'.

Karuppu director, RJ Balaji took home Rs. 4 crore

The Tamil action movie, Karuppu, has been directed by RJ Balaji. The movie has been produced by Dream Warrior Pictures.  Well, the director is seen donning two hats in the movie, of an actor and also a director. There are some chatters that reveal that the fee package of the director and actor could also be higher. Some reports also reveal that RJ Balaji may have got Rs. 2 crore for Karuppu. He is playing the role of the main villain in the movie. His character name is 'Baby Kannan'.

Fees of the supporting cast of Karuppu

Apart from Suriya and Trisha Krishnan, who are the lead stars of Karuppu, the movie also has a supporting cast. There is actor and stellar comedian, Yogi Babu, who reportedly charged Rs. 2 crore for the movie. He has an important supporting role in the movie. Veteran Malayalam actor Indrans, who was last seen in Mohanlal's Patriot, took Rs. 80 lakhs for his role in the movie.

There is also Natarajan Subramaniam who is known to play the role of 'Natty'. He too has a key and an important role to play, and took Rs. 1.5 crore for the movie. It is said that the cinematographer turned actor has a very important role in the movie. He has also been known for his work in the  Malayalam and Tamil movies such as Shambhala, Maaman, and many more. He has a supporting role in Karuppu. Swasika also has a supporting role in the movie.

Karuppu is set to be a high-octane action movie that showcases high-energy sequences and has engaging interval segments too. The music of the movie was composed by a young musician called Sai Abhyankkar, and the film was supposed to be released in multiple languages on May 14, 2026. The movie was all set to release on May 14,2026 and the new chief minister of Tamil Nadu, Vijay Thalapathy, also gave permission for the same. However, fans of the movie had the realisation that something was really wrong as the bookings of Karuppu did not open. Reports also mentioned that multiple shows got cancelled and the sea of fans were all things disappointed.
