In response, Karoline mentioned that women who have 'age-gap' relationships should just forget about the hate they get and follow their hearts. It's rare for Karoline to make a public comment about her marriage, as she keeps her personal life under wraps.
Karoline shared a photo with her husband and went on to add that marrying Riccio was the best decision she made. She called Riccio her best husband and the best dad to her kids, while adding that people actually get why she and her husband are together. Karoline could be quoted as saying:
"Forget the haters and follow your heart! Marrying this man was the best decision I ever made. He’s the absolutely best husband and dad in the world. Everyone gets why we are together when they actually meet him and see us together.”
Karoline, while appearing on The Megyn Kelly Show, revealed her love story with her husband. According to the reports, the couple met when Karoline was running for a congressional seat in New Hampshire in 2022. They first crossed paths during a political event. Karoline shared that one of her and Riccio's mutual friends invited them to a restaurant opening, and this was where they met as friends' acquaintances and conversed.
Further details about their romance had not been shared; however, to Leavitt, Riccio is her best friend and the rock who always stands behind her. A year after their meeting, the couple got engaged in 2023. On December 25, 2023, Karoline took to her Instagram handle to announce her engagement. Karoline Leavitt and Nicholas Riccio welcomed their son, Niko, in July 2024. It was in January 2025 that the couple hopped onto their forever journey by getting married.
Karoline Leavitt is a mom of two. The former White House press secretary welcomed her first child, a son, in 2024, and two years later, in 2026, she welcomed her baby girl. She was asked why she chose not to reveal photos of her kids on social media, and her reason is justified.
Karoline said her babies are cute; however, her concern is that she gets too much negativity, which stems from her professional front, and she doesn't want that to reach her kids. Not only that, but Karoline also wants her kids to grow up and decide whether they want to be on social media on their own. She said:
"But I received a lot of threats and negativity in my job as Press Sec, and I feel it’s the right thing to do to protect their innocence. Also, I wonder when they grow up one day, will they want their whole lives already documented on social media? Maybe not. So I will probably wait until they are old enough to have a choice. That’s just how I feel right now."
