However, what caught attention was a cheeky reference that she made to Indian cricket star, Jasprit Bumrah.
A while ago, Kareena Kapoor took to her Instagram Stories to give her fans a glimpse into her time with son, Taimur. The story featured a collage of pictures where the duo can be seen engaged in an impromptu cricket game. In the photos, Kareena can be seen stepping into the role of a bowler while Taimur is prepared to face the delivery with a bat in hand. Both Kareena and Tamir chose to dress casually and appeared to enjoy the moment. However, it seems that the actress was way too invested in the friendly match. This was evidenced by the hilarious caption that Kareena added alongside the pictures. Tagging Jaspreet Bumrah, she wrote:
"Don't underestimate my talent...I can give Bumrah competition too @jaspritb1."

On the work front, Kareena Kapoor is currently preparing for the release of the upcoming thriller, Daayra, by Meghna Gulzar. She also recently shared an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the film by posting a never-before-seen picture from the sets of Daayra. Expressing how excited she was about the project, she wrote in the caption:
“This one is for the books…Raw and unseen. A sneak peek behind the scenes of DAAYRA. #Daayra arrives in cinemas on 18 September, 2026.”
It is worth noting that the film marks director, Meghna Gulzar's first release since Sam Bahadur, which was not only critically acclaimed but also a huge success with movie lovers. Furthermore, Daayra will also feature actor, Prithviraj in a pivotal role alongside Kareena, who will be seen in a powerful new avatar.
According to reports, Kareena Kapoor's Daayra is scheduled to release on September 18, 2026, the same day as Preity Zinta's film, Vibe. Directed by Kunal Kemmu, the film might give decent competition to Kareena's movie. In fact, the clash is already generating a lot of interest among movie fanatics as both films are targeting viewers who are looking for fresh theatrical experiences.
