For the uninitiated, Kylie and Jordyn have been friends for decades. Since 2012, they had been inseparable; however, seven years later, something happened that created a rift between the two friends. While Kylie was left with a broken heart, she took her time, and eventually, in 2023, they became friends again. For the uninitiated, back in 2019, Jordyn Woods found herself at the center of an intense controversy after she allegedly hooked up with Tristan Thompson. Tristan was in a relationship with Khloe Kardashian, with whom he has two kids. Jordyn's hookup buzz with Tristan started hitting the headlines, and it became so intense that the former had to come forward and talk about it.
While confessing, she revealed that there was just a kiss and nothing more. Later, Khloe came forward and slammed Jordyn, accusing her of lying. She blasted Jordyn and slammed her for breaking up her family. She also blamed Tristan equally. A few weeks later, Khloe had a change of heart, and she blamed Thompson entirely for what happened. She said:
"Honestly, Tristan cheating on me & humiliating me wasn’t such a shock as the first time. What’s been harder & more painful is being hurt by someone so close to me. Someone whom I love & treat like a little sister. But Jordyn is not to be blamed for the breakup of my family. This was Tristan’s fault."
This was a heartbreaking incident for Kylie Jenner as well, since she had a very strong bond with Jordyn back then. Given that the boundary had been crossed, she was upset, and a falling-out ensued, leading Jordyn to move out of Kylie's home. The duo, who once referred to each other as their 'wives', were in contact but not too much. The situation was hard for Jenner, and her family knew that she and Jordyn were connected through texts. Kylie was not given any pressure, and it was her choice about what she wanted to do.
Following the scandal, Kylie and Tristan also spoke about it during an episode of The Kardashians, where the latter apologized to the beauty mogul for causing her to lose someone close to her. He went on to apologize for something he held himself to be at 'blame' for. Kylie appreciated his candor and revealed:
"I think I was so co-dependent with Jordyn that I could've never imagined my life without her. We would've probably still been living together, and I think she needed to grow without me, I needed to grow without her. But you know, Jordyn and I are cool. We still talk and catch up, we're good."
In 2023, as it seemed, Kylie and Jordyn mended the differences between them. The duo was spotted in a Los Angeles restaurant and then confirmed they were back together. Following this, the two friends were often spotted together and supported each other, reviving the friendship they were on the verge of letting go of.
