Joni Lamb's second husband, Doug Weiss, a month before her death, shared that she had two hairline fractures on her spine.
Popular TV executive, Joni Lamb, co-founded Daystar Television Network with her late husband, Marcus Lamb, who passed away at the age of 65. She died on May 7, 2026, and the network had released a statement revealing that she had been dealing with many health issues that also included complications due to a back injury. Now, Joni's second husband, Doug Weiss a month before her death reportedly had revealed of she dealing with two hairline fractures.
A report by Square Solution on YouTube revealed that a month before Joni Lamb's death, her husband, Doug Weiss, had come on air to explain her absence, saying that she had been off the air because of two hairline fractures on her spine while battling serious private health issues. Nobody outside her inner circle knew about the extent. Viewers had noted her weight gain and bodily swelling and disputed the explanation given. Those viewers saw the changes week after week.
Prior to her recent back injury, Lamb had been dealing with serious health matters that she chose to face head-on and in private. The woman who spent 30 years on television inviting guests to sit at her table and talk about the hardest things in their lives was carrying her own hardest thing completely alone. The report also revealed that Joni knew before anyone else did, before the official statement, before the announcement, and the world found out. She knew her time was running short, so she did the thing that defined her entire life. She kept going, and she prepared. Daystar Television Network had released a statement saying:
"Prior to her recent back injury, Lamb had been dealing with serious health matters that she chose to face head-on and in private. The back injury compounded those challenges and led to a more serious medical situation than anyone had anticipated. Despite the dedicated efforts of her medical team and the prayers of so many around the world, her condition worsened in the last few days.”
Joni Lamb's husband, Doug Weiss, had taken to Facebook to write an emotional note on the death of his wife.
