The Artemis II mission, which is carrying four astronauts, is currently dominating the headlines. For the unversed, the 10-day mission began on April 1, 2026, and is expected to return on April 11, 2026. Well, amid that, a clip of astronaut, Christina Koch is making rounds on social media, in which she can be seen asking for a beauty product from the brand, The Honest. Now, the founder of the brand, Jessica Alba has reacted to it!
Recently, actress-turned-entrepreneur, Jessica Alba took to her Instagram handle to share a reel, in which she reacted to Christina Koch’s video clip. For those who missed it, Jessica Alba was in her car, while reacting to the clip. In the video clip, astronaut, Christina can be seen quoted as saying:
"Yes, this one might take some digging. I am looking for a specific community hygiene item that is Honest lotion. So it's just hand lotion and I believe the brand is Honest. I thought we had some on board but we just haven't come across it and I don't think our packing plan has that level of granularity. Thanks for tracking it down."
Jessica Alba, who looked completely shocked and surprised listening to the video clip, went on to recall the inspiration behind creating a brand like Honest. The actress looked very happy and slightly emotional while she shared that she never thought such a moment would happen with her. She concluded by asking her fans to follow their dreams as they can reach space one day. In her words:
"What? That is wild. To think like I had this idea of wanting people just to have safer, better products and I was inspired by my kid, my daughter, Honor and so I named it Honest cause I was like 'gosh wouldn't it be amazing if our company was honest'. And then…now it’s in space! What? That is wild. This is a trip. This is a moment I never thought would be my real life. And so anyone out there who has any dreams of anything, just go after it, because you never know. I mean, your products can be in space."
Moments after Jessica Alba shared an Instagram reel, multiple fans came in support of her and congratulated her for the massive success. While some flooded the comment section with heart emojis, some penned heartfelt messages. One fan commented, "So iconic!" Another user shared, "That’s a real win, first lotion in space, furthest lotion in space." A third user penned, "As a Dominican astronautical engineer your reaction to this made me very happy." A fourth user shared," One small step for a woman, one giant leap for women kind!!" Another user also commented, "You did THAT to the moon and beyond."
For those who do not know, Christina Koch, who is a part of the Artemis II mission, is an American engineer and NASA astronaut. Reportedly, she is 47-years-old, who previously held the record for the longest single spaceflight by a woman, spending 328 consecutive days aboard the International Space Station. In her personal life, she is married to Robert Koch. If reports are to be believed, the couple met at a Halloween party and later got married to each other.
Talking about Jessica Alba, she is an American actress, businesswoman and a mother. Reportedly, she was born in 1981, and started her acting career at a young age. Over the years, she worked in Dark Angel, Fantastic Four, Sin City, Into The Blue, Good Luck Chuck and more.
