Following that, the Western Cape South African Police Service has registered an inquest case to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death. Amid this, social media users have shared what they believe caused Jayden's untimely passing.
An X (formerly Twitter) user cites some unverified reports and claimed that Jayden's team, Mamelodi Sundowns, granted him some time off after his FIFA World Cup 2026 venture, during which the South African player took his own life. Notably, suicide has emerged as the most predicted explanation for Jayden's lifeless body being found; however, it remains subject to Investigation. The X post could be read as:
"Reports circulating claim that Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana midfielder Jayden Adams has passed away. According to the claims, Adams allegedly died by suicide at his home in Cape Town after being granted time off by Mamelodi Sundowns following his participation in the FIFA World Cup."
Another individual claimed that Jayden Adams had a natural death caused by complications arising from food poisoning. As per them, the footballer faced health issues shortly after returning home at the end of their FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign. The post suggested that it was Jayden's first international trip and thus, he might not have been too careful regarding what he consumed, leading to the mishap.
Besides food poisoning, the post writer also claimed that Jayden got into an argument with some individuals before or during his World Cup venture. However, it should be noted that none of the claims is based on confirmed facts.
