Jay Bhanushali enjoyed an evening on the beach with his daughter, Tara Bhanushali, after announcing his separation from Mahhi Vij.
Popular TV couple, Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali, may have announced their separation, but for the sake of their children, they have committed to being the best parents. For the unversed, Mahhi and Jay are parents to foster kids- Rajveer and Khushi. Their daughter, Tara, came into their lives on August 3, 2019. Tara was born via IVF and is equally close to both her parents. Now, Jay was seen a while back enjoying himself at the beach in the evening with his daughter, Tara. This comes after he and Mahhi announced their separation.
As seen in the clip, Tara was seen playing with sand and had worn a white t-shirt and brown tracks. She was seen telling her dad, "Papa, look, there is a moon right there." Jay was seen asking his daughter, "Where let me see"? He then zoomed his camera towards the moon and said, "Oh! Ya. There is a moon here." Tara then showed her papa the setting sun and said, "The sun is right there." Jay then told his little daughter, "Wow! This is so good. What a great sunset."
Jay had taken to his Instagram Stories to post the adorable video. It was wholesome as his daughter, Tara, made him see the rising moon and the setting sun together. The video comes a day after Jay's ex-wife, Mahhi, announced that her cryptic posts were not for her now- ex-husband. It was on January 4, 2026, when Mahhi and Jay announced their separation in a joint post.
Mahhi, in one of her stories, shared a quote about loving people who love her children. Those kinds of people held a special place in her heart. In another quote, the actress shared on how one should be the reason why people believe in beautiful souls, kind hearts, and good energy. Addressing the importance of being a good person, in her third note she spoke about how one will end up really disappointed if one thinks people will do for you as you do for them. There were reports on social media that Mahhi shared these notes, targeting her ex-husband. Mahhi then shared a snap with Jay and clarified that the notes were not about her ex-husband. Mahhi wrote:
"Yeah, this is us. For likes and comments, media can stoop to any level. My stories are not for Jay, stop making it dirty just like your journalism.”
Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij, in their joint separation post, spoke about choosing to part ways on a journey called life. However, both of them continue to have each other’s backs. Peace, growth, kindness, and humanity have always been the guiding values of the ex-pair. Both of them emphasised strongly on the part that there is no 'villain' in their story as their note read:
"Though we walk separate paths, there is no villain in this story and no negativity attached to this decision. Before any conclusions are drawn, please know that we choose peace over drama and sanity above all else. We continue to respect one another, support one another, and remain friends, as we always have been. With mutual respect, we ask for your respect, love, and kindness as we move forward. Mahhi Vij & Jay Bhanushali”.
