As per the source, Jamie is happy about being a dad again, and he is currently in a much better place in his life. The source revealed that when Alyce and Jamie first met, the latter was going through a tough phase as he had undergone a health issue, due to a stroke.
While Jamie reportedly was having a really good time with Alyce, he was also navigating a tough phase on a personal front. During that time, Jamie was trying to get back to his career as well after his health issues, and it's not that the dad of two wasn't caring towards his now-pregnant girlfriend, but he was just busy getting back to normal life, while trying to balance a serious relationship again. The source revealed:
"When Alyce first came into his life and they started dating, Jamie was still recovering from the stroke. He really enjoyed dating her and thought she was special, but it was also a difficult time for him personally. He was trying to get his life and his career back at the same time. It wasn't that he didn't care about her. It was more that he was trying to get back to normal while also figuring out how to balance a serious relationship again."

Now, speaking about the current state of their relationship, the source revealed that Jamie and Alyce found their way back to each other after a brief breakup, and he is genuinely happy over his girlfriend's pregnancy. Sharing that he now feels more like himself again, the source said:
"When they found their way back to each other, Jamie was in a much better place. He feels more like himself again now. He's genuinely very happy about becoming a dad again."
