However, his recent appearance at US President, Donald Trump's rally has led the internet to wonder if the boxer has decided to switch paths to politics.
President, Donald Trump endorsed boxer and podcaster Jake Paul for political office during a Kentucky rally. Even though Jake isn't campaigning for anything yet, the US President's comment left netizens wondering whether Jake was considering the political route. During the Kentucky rally, the viewers were left surprised when Jake joined Trump. Addressing the boxer's presence, Trump was quoted as saying:
"I'm going to make a prediction that you will be, in the not-too-distant future, running for political office. You have my complete and total endorsement."
Jake Paul joined Donald Trump on stage after the latter urged the boxer. He took to the stage and shared that Trump had taught him courage and that he would never back down from a fight. He added that he feels the Kentuckians think the same way. While Jake didn't confirm or shut down Trump's offer to endorse him if he decided to join politics, the statement around him taking the route has left the internet abuzz. Jake was quoted as saying:
"What Mr Trump has taught me is courage. We never back down from a fight, even if they're much bigger than you, much, much bigger than you. I feel all the local Kentuckians feel the same way. You guys have that fight. You guys have that swag."
During his appearance, Jake Paul revealed that he grew up a few hours away from the rally at Verst Logistics in Hebron, Kentucky. He added how the country needs more factories thriving like the one US President, Donald Trump was visiting. He reflected on how his father taught him to always fight. He added that his dad instilled the believe in him that every voice mattered in Amercia. He was quoted as saying:
"My dad taught me to fight and all of our voices matter in America. I'm never afraid to speak the truth."
Trump had introduced Paul by saying he had asked him to appear on his podcast, which he was initially reluctant to do as president. The US President said, "His local podcast is big stuff, and he's big stuff. This guy has guts." The duo were further seen shaking a leg to YMCA. However, the clip further caused criticsm online given the current political state in the United States.
The internet has had some strong opinions about Jake Paul's presence at US President Donald Trump's rally.
