The six yards of the ensemble featured extravagant embroidery with white Resham, threads and stones. She paired it with a dramatic multi-coloured contrasting embroidery blouse, which was bejewelled with sali and stones. With her hair tied in a braid, she completed her look with a pair of earrings and a bindi.
However, as soon as Jacqueline's pictures and videos were shared online, it sent the internet into a frenzy. While the actress looked stunning in her traditional look, a section of netizens was unhappy with the same. They claimed that Jacqueline was trying to act innocent amid the controversy with conman, Sukesh Chandrasekhar, and hence, the traditional look. Jacqueline Fernandez has been going through the roughest phase of her life for her alleged connection with the conman, Sukesh Chandrasekhar. Despite knowing Sukesh’s criminal past, the actress was reportedly in a love relationship with him and also exchanged gifts and money. Earlier, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had released a charge sheet in which Jacqueline was termed as ‘accused’ in the 200 crore money extortion case.
