For the uninitiated, Ridhi Dogra was married to actor, Raqesh Bapat. However, after 8 years of marriage, the couple called it quits. Ridhi married Raqesh in 2011 and got separated in 2019. Currently, Ridhi is single and is not dating anyone. In a recent interview with Instant Bollywood, Ridhi Dogra shared that she is open to love.
In a recent interview with Instant Bollywood, Ridhi opened up about her emotional transformation after her divorce from Raqesh. She shared that initially she missed the companionship, as for her, Raqesh was her home, but with time, she learned to enjoy her own company and has embraced solitude. When asked whether she was open to love after the heartbreak, Ridhi gladly accepted that she was always open to love. She also called herself a 'big romantic.' She mentioned that it takes very little time for her to fall in love. She was quoted as saying:
"Why will I not be open to falling in love? I mean, I am always open to love. I am a big romantic and it takes very little time for me to fall in love."
In the same interview, Ridhi was asked about the craziest thing she did for love. The 50 contestant revealed that she once had put herself down and compromised her self-respect for love. She then advised that people shouldn’t do this. She explained that while many mistake this behaviour as love, it isn’t. She urged people not to follow such a path. She was quoted as saying:
"Apne baare mai, apni self respect k baare mai fikr na kar k, maine beintah pyaar kiya. So I think that's the craziest thing I did for love. Jo kisi ko v nahi karna chahiye. Because it's a downslide. Please apne self-worth, self-respect ki dhajjiyan mat udayi. Because in return you will be left with the feeling of 'Main kaun hu?'"
In a recent podcast, Ridhi revealed the reason behind her separation from Raqesh Bapat. She shared that although they have parted ways, they remain very close friends. Ridhi mentioned that she and Raqesh were not suited as partners, and by ending their marriage, they preserved their close friendship. She was quoted as saying:
"My ex-husband Raak and I remain very close friends. We have genuinely preserved our friendship by ending the marriage since we weren’t suited as partners, but we are really, really close friends. We have confidence in one another. We can, you see, protect one another's secrets and support each other."
Ridhi and Raqesh first crossed paths on the sets of Maryada- Lekin Kab Tak. Once in an interview, Ridhi shared that after she and Raqesh first met on the sets of Maryada, they felt an instant connection and ease. She mentioned that after the first scene of the serial, they became really good friends. Later, Raqesh proposed to Ridhi. On May 29, 2011, the couple tied the knot, and their wedding was nothing less than a lavish affair. However, after 8 years of marital bliss, in 2019, the duo parted ways.
