Coming to his personal life, Team India coach has been happily married to Natasha Jain for 14 years. Read on to learn their age gap.
According to Zee News, Gautam Gambhir’s wife, Natasha Jain, was born on July 26, 1984 and is currently 41. According to a TOI report, the head coach was born on October 14, 1981 and is currently 44. If the reports are believed to be true, then the couple share an age gap of three years.
Natasha Jain was born on 26 July 1984 in Amritsar. She hails from a well-known business family. She completed her schooling at GD Goenka, Amritsar. She holds a BBA degree and has done short courses on gemology, advertising, and PR. She has a great interest in diamonds and diamond cuttings.
In a past interview with TOI, Gautam shared that when a girl gets married to a public figure, it’s easy to get carried away. However, he got a girl who is down to earth. He called Natasha, the right person. He was quoted as saying:
"The most important thing was to find a girl who has a good head on her shoulders, because -- as I've always mentioned -- when you get married to someone who's a public figure, it's very important to be down to earth. Because it's easy to get carried away; you'll have a lot of comforts, but it's important to have a good head on your shoulders to keep you grounded. And I think I've got the right person."
Natasha tied the knot with Gautam Gambhir in October 2011. The duo first became friends. Eventually, the friendship blossomed into love. In a 2012 interview with TOI, Natasha shared that she and Gautam had been friends for 2 to 3 years. She mentioned that their families had known each other for a long time. She revealed that before meeting Gautam, she had no clue about cricket. But things changed after meeting him. She was quoted as saying:
"We'd known each other, been friends for 2-3 years, and then we decided to get married. Our families had also known each other for the last 30 years -- our fathers knew each other, and then we became friends. We both decided to get married first, and then we took our parents' consent. We'd been engaged for about a year before marriage. I'm not really into cricket, but then we met, and I got to know a lot more about him. When we took it to marriage, it was more like thinking from that point of view, not like he's a celebrity or a star or something. Marriage doesn't run like that."
Over the years, Gautam Gambhir saw several ups and downs in his cricket career. However, it was Natasha who stood by his side and became his pillar of strength. Away from the field, Gautam is a perfect family man. He is a dad to two beautiful daughters. The power couple welcomed their first daughter, Aazeen Gambhir, in 2014. Later, in 2017, the duo completed their family by welcoming their second daughter, Anaiza Gambhir.
