Katie Leung is currently hogging the limelight for her role in Netflix’s hit series, Bridgerton Season 4. For the unversed, Katie plays the role of 'Lady Araminta Gun'. She rose to fame after she played the role of 'Cho Chang', Harry Potter’s first love interest, in the Harry Potter films. Ever since, Bridgerton Season 4 Part 1 has released, people have grown curious to know more about Katie. Amid the buzz, let’s find out if the Scottish actress is single or not.
Katie Leung has been very private when it comes to her personal life. In a recent interview with The Guardian, the Harry Potter fame revealed that she is still working on herself and learning how to say what she needs. During this revelation, Katie gave a reference about her partner. However, she kept her partner’s name hidden. Katie also mentioned that being open and honest is a key factor for building a good relationship. She was quoted as saying:
"Even now, I’m working on myself, to say what I need, whether it’s in a relationship or at the workplace, with my mum or my partner. It’s really fundamental to having any good relationship with anybody."
In a recent interview with People, Katie Leung revealed that she hadn’t watched the hit series, Bridgerton, before she stepped into the project. For the uninitiated, Katie is seen in the role of 'Lady Araminta Gun', a twice-married and twice-widowed mother of two daughters, 'Rosamund Li' (played by Michelle Mao) and 'Posy Li' (Isabella Wei). Season 4 Part 1 has released on January 29, 2026.
Recalling the moment when she just started watching the show and was called for the fittings, Katie shared her conversation with Golda Rosheuvel, who plays 'Queen Charlotte'. She also explained why she was glad not to see the show earlier. Katie was quoted as saying:
"I hadn't watched the show before I got the part. In between watching the first season and getting the part, I had to go in for fittings. And I remember meeting Golda Rosheuvel in the makeup room, and she was getting this big wig fitted at the time, but I had no idea who she was. She just was like, 'Oh, hi Katie,' and she was just super casual and lovely. And she asked me if I was nervous, and I was like, 'No, not nervous.' It wasn't until afterwards — when I started watching season 1 — I was like, 'Oh my f---ing God, she's the queen!' I was really glad that I hadn't seen the show yet, because otherwise I would've been nervous and starstruck, and she's so chill."
Recently, Katie sat for a conversation with Radio Times for Pass The Mic and shared her working experience in the hit series, Bridgerton Season 4. She called it a 'blessing' to be part of this project. Lauding the show, Katie called it diverse and explained why the show is successful. She was quoted as saying:
"It feels pretty monumental. I think especially because we’re looking at a family dynamic, it’s not just any role within Bridgerton, it’s the dynamic of the family that’s explored, and that is why it’s important because people can watch it and resonate because it’s universal, relationships are what matters. It’s quite a blessing to be a part of it, and I hope that it’s just – I feel like we’re still not quite there yet, where we need to be. And that’s why Bridgerton is so successful because it has always been a diverse show."
