After a successful run of three seasons, the crime drama is returning with Season 4. However, it has also led to a debate about whether Season 4 will serve as a conclusion of the popular show.
Aashram was renewed for a fourth season in 2023, a year after the premiere of Season 3. The end of the previous season witnessed the crimes of ‘Baba Nirala’ being exposed to everyone by ‘Pammi’. ‘Baba Nirala’ is eventually taken into custody, and ‘Bhopi Swami’ takes complete control over the ashram.
While the ending left a lot of things unexplored, netizens believe that Season 4 could conclude the story that started back in 2020 with Season 1. Although the makers did not confirm anything directly from their side, the announcement of Season 4 with a promo hinted that Season 4 is bringing an end to the show. The promo stated, “Kahaani ab tak. Badhegi ab ant ki aur.”
The promo featured a glimpse of what happened to ‘Baba Nirala’ at the end of Season 3. However, it hinted at an intense conflict for Season 4 as ‘Baba Nirala’ is heard saying, “Bahut paas hoon main tere, aa raha hoon.”
Back in December 2025, Tridha Chaudhary, who plays an important role in Aashram, revealed that filming for Season 4 will start in 2026. While sharing the update, the actress opened up on how the show ended up bringing a different turn in her career. She said that she met the DA, Manvi Bhatt, at the supermarket, following which she was cast for the show.
Meanwhile, the new update on Season 4 has made viewers excited, as it has been confirmed that the upcoming instalment is going on floors in mid-August 2026. But a potential release date is yet to be confirmed by the makers.
While speaking in an interview, Chandan Roy Sanyal, who portrays ‘Bhopi Swami,’ opened up on how the show left an impact on the audience. The actor said that he has been greeted with the word “Japnaam” by a lot of people. Chandan credited the vision of Prakash Jha, saying that the show has managed to reach every section of the audience, starting from a rickshaw driver to a surgeon.
The end of Aashram Season 3 seemingly portrayed the character of ‘Baba Nirala’ as someone who has become God for his followers. The upcoming season is expected to open up on what ‘Baba Nirala’ can do to maintain his image among everyone. Although he has been arrested and sent to prison, ‘Baba Nirala’ says that God cannot be contained anywhere. Season 4 is supposed to be a clash between ‘Baba Nirala’ and the law, bringing more intense moments for the audience.
