Since her diagnosis, Teddi has been under continuous treatment, having multiple surgeries to remove over 17 cancerous spots on her skin. Unfortunately, by 2025, doctors had found multiple tumors in her brain, a "direct result" of her melanoma, followed by two more tumors in her lungs. In April 2025, she shared with her fans that her cancer had unfortunately progressed to stage 4.

Just a few months ago, Teddi spoke about her cancer battle during an episode of her "Two T's in a Pod" podcast with her co-host, Dolores Catania. In the episode dated October 3, 2025, she sounded confident and relieved as she shared:
“Just to give a little life update to you guys, I had my immunotherapy yesterday, and I did my scans, and at this point there is no detectable cancer... When they told me, I was in such shock. I was like, numb... I'm still going to be having days when I'm feeling sick and stuff because I still am in immunotherapy, so I'm still fighting because you have to be.”
While she didn't declare herself cancer-free, Teddi acknowledged that the risk of the disease returning remains high and that she is not in remission.
