According to a report by Hello Magazine, Penny Lancaster was just 27 when she met 53-year-old Rod Stewart for the first time. The couple shares a huge age gap of 26 years. Earlier, this year, in 2025, in an interview with Hello Magazine, the English model talked about her age gap with her husband. She shared that this age gap was an advantage for her, as when they met for the first time, she wanted someone who could guide her. She called her relationship a 'non-stop' one. She was quoted as saying:
"My husband is not like anyone of his age at all. When we first met, I needed someone in my life who had some experience that could guide me because I was a little bit lost as to what direction to go in and where my strengths were.
