People have been stuck to the reels, which feature a familiar face who was seen offering service. Her striking eyes and short hair instantly hit the right chord, and people found out that it was none other than Ruby Bhatia, a famous personality from the 1990s Indian television.
Well, Ruby was at the top of her career, when she bid farewell to the glamour world, and after all these years, she made a return with a transition in career as a coach. Ruby, who used to earn in lakhs per show, now gets paid in four figures for her service. Let's know all about it.
Ruby Bhatia was once one of the famous faces on television, and she emerged as Miss India Canada, along with being India's first VJ. If the reports are to be believed, Ruby used to earn Rs. 1 lakh per show for an appearance during the peak of her career. She made a return to the spotlight after two decades, and now she is providing services as a life coach, which enables her to earn a modest fee.
As per several reports, she charges Rs. 1,000 per session for life coaching. In her recently viral video, Ruby revealed that she is providing service for weight loss, fear, anxiety, personal developement and several other personal issues, in exchange for the modest fee of Rs. 1K, which also comes with an unlimited access offer. As per her, her services include:
"Personality development, weight loss, personal issues, fear, depression, anxiety, panic attacks – whatever I can help you with. I am there for you. Fee is Rs 1,000 and unlimited access."
In an interview with Bollywood Thikana, Ruby Bhatia revealed that when she was at the peak of her career, she used to earn in lakhs, and that for each show's appearance only. She was also working on several projects, that would pay her on a daily basis, depending on the budget of the project. Well, she took a long break, and now she returned as a coach.
Talking about what pushed her to begin her career again, it was revealed that it began with a simple plan to refurbish her old house, which turned out to be a full blown reinovation. The financial need further led her to look back to begin her career again, and the coaching came to her in a natural way, as she has been providing the same service to a lot of people without any payment since she was 25.
Ruby Bhatia also talked about keeping the budget low, stating that people in India are really scared to go to a psychologist, and the reason she kept the budget low was that a high price would only bring her celeb clients, but she wanted to do it for everyone. She said:
"In India, people still hesitate to go to psychologists but are comfortable talking to a friend. That’s where a life coach comes in. I kept my fee at Rs 1,000, so it remains accessible. If I charged in thousands, only celebrities would approach me. I wanted this to be for everyone."
