On-Duty, Shikhar Dhawan Shares A Heartfelt Message For His Wife, Ayesha Mukherjee And Three Kids

Indian opener, Shikhar Dhawan is having a blast playing against the Proteas in South Africa. With a century and 2 fifties in the limited over series, and a smashing 72 in the first T20, Shikhar is on top of his game. But it seems that our Jatt-jee (as he is affectionately called by his teammates) is homesick. And why not! After all, India is on a 2-month-long tour of South Africa which is scheduled to end on February 24, 2018, when the team blue takes on SA in the final T20.

Anyone would get homesick and miss his/her family. And so is Shikhar. And his message for his family evidently encapsulates his feelings. Shikhar took to social media and shared his family pics- his wife, Ayesha Mukherjee and his kids- Rhea, Aliyah and Zoravar. Before showing you the pics, let us see what Shikhar captioned the pics as. He wrote, “Only when you spend so much time away from family, you realize how much you actually miss them! I miss spending time with my kids, playing with them, cooking for them and being there for them. Also, miss the Mrs like crazy! Want to spend quality time with her once I go back. Love you all to the moon and back @aesha.dhawan5 @aliyah_dhawan.”

Shikhar is definitely a family man, isn’t he? Recently, in October 2017, when it was his fifth wedding anniversary, he shared a heartfelt message for his wife with a beautiful picture of the couple. Here's what he wrote- “Hue poore 5 saal humari shaadi ko, lagta hai aise ki tumse pehle nah koi zindagi thi meri, bhar diye itne rang ki rangeen ho gayi yeh duniya meri..Har kadam pe mere saath tu, tu hi meri khushi tu hi meri baat tu, tujhse hoon main , dil bahar hai har raat. Saath rahe humara janmo janmo tak karta hoon yeh dua, tere dar pe jhuke sir mera hai meri yeh raza. Love you honey. Wish you a very 5th anniversary @aesha.dhawan5.”

In fact, Ayesha replied sweetly to this message, and said, “Happy 5th-anniversary @shikhardofficial We are truly best friends and soul mates for life!! Thankful to God that we found each other. Love you so much!”

For the uninitiated ones, it must be mentioned here that Shikhar got married to Ayesha in 2012. Ayesha is a trained boxer and has Anglo-Indian origins. She was earlier married to an Australian businessman but later divorced him. Rhea and Aliyah are Ayesha’s kids from her first marriage.

Shikar and Ayesha’s love story is an interesting one. They met on Facebook. Yes! Harbhajan Singh was their common friend, and the moment Shikhar visited Ayesha’s profile, he was bowled over by her gorgeous looks. He sent her a friend request, and the rest is history.

Shikhar and Ayesh truly make an adorable couple, don’t they? May their love cross seven seas!
