The famous British influencer, Holly Hobert, first time talked about her medically-induced coma months ago, as she battled an undisclosed illness. It is worth mentioning that the social media star widely known as Holly H has spent many months in the hospital after she suffered a severe brain swelling in December 2025. Now, she shared her first post on the same.
On March 22, 2026, Holly Hobert took to her Instagram handle and shared a photo from the hospital with her family and doctors. Along with it, she revealed details of her illness. She added that she had a medical emergency in December 2025 and was placed in a medically induced coma. She suffered from a brain condition, to stabilise her and reduce the chances of permanent risk, they decided to put her on medically-induced coma.
Holly thanked her family and doctors who were there for her 24/7 and had hope for her recovery. She added that it was uncertain whether she would wake up again. Holly started her post by writing her first word. She wrote:
"Hi, I'm Alive. So it turns out I’m not invincible. In December I suddenly became critically ill, was rushed into hospital, and placed into a coma. I experienced extreme brain swelling and it was uncertain if I’d wake up again, but I was lucky enough to have a badass doctor and my incredible family by my side 24/7 fighting for me."
As per Holly, after waking up, she had to relearn to walk and use her hands. She called it the hardest and scariest thing that had ever happened to her. But she is grateful to be alive. However, she is out of the hospital, but she is recovering slowly. Hence, she won't be posting daily. She wrote:
"When I woke up, I had to relearn to walk and use my hands again. It’s been the hardest and scariest thing that’s ever happened to me, and I’m so grateful to be here today. I’m now out of the hospital but still slowly recovering. I won’t be posting every day just yet, but I wanted to come back and let you know that I’m okay. I missed you all so much and I’m insanely thankful for all of the love you’ve given me while I’ve been gone, it truly means the world to me. This experience has given me a whole new love for my life, my family, my friends, and the wonderful world we live in. Go do everything that makes you smile. Life is so damn precious."
So, all in all, Hobert faced significant physical challenges to get her basic skills, such as walking and using her hands for everyday tasks. Despite the difficulties, she is grateful for the life she has and for getting another chance to live.
For the unversed, Holy H's family had taken to her Instagram and shared the last post on December 21, 2025. They shared that Holly is in the hospital. The family didn't share much detail about her illness but stated that she needs time to heal. They even wished Christmas from her side. She wrote:
"We wanted to share an update with you all that Holly is okay, but currently in the hospital being looked after by a brilliant medical team, and is unable to post anything online as she needs to take time to heal. We know how much she cares about you all, so we wanted to reassure everyone that she is getting the care that she needs. Holly would like to wish you a Happy Christmas, enjoy the time with your family and friends and give each other an extra tight hug. She also wishes you all a happy, healthy 2026."
