Recently, the actress spoke about how the topic of conversion came up in their relationship. Now, Asim strongly denied conversion claims and stated that he never asked her to change her religion. The Khyaal Rakhya Kar star also questioned Himanshi's character.
Asim Riaz and his ex-flame, Himanshi Khurana, cannot stand each other eye to eye. The BB13 star took to his Instagram handle to share a lengthy note where he slammed Himanshi and Paras Chhabra. Asim claimed that religion was used to create negativity related to him and urged his ex not to make a personal matter into a public controversy. In his words:
"I never asked anyone to change their religion. Not once. Matter of fact, I was the one who pushed you towards fitness. You've been in this shape only after meeting me; before that, everyone knew how you looked. So please, don't use religion as a weapon. It's a deeply sensitive subject, and turning something so personal into a reason for people to hate me is immature and only shows how low you're willing to go for attention."
Asim further continued that when it came to his career, he never needed anyone to build it for him. The model-rapper stated that Himanshi cannot claim credit for what she did not contribute. The TV personality revealed that, when it came to his career, he never needed anyone to build it for him. In his words:
"Gossip says more about the person digging than the person being talked about. Who has more money and who has less? Well, if you really want to know, the bank statements can settle that. But money was never the measure of character. Character is how far you're willing to fall when you're desperate for attention, relevance, or a few more views."
Slamming Paras Chhabra, whom Asim called the man behind the microphone, sitting with ''his stomach hanging out like a pig". The former Bigg Boss star quoted, "Making gossip his profession, brother, respectfully, I’d suggest spending a little less time discussing other people’s lives and a little more time in the gym."
Asim Riaz's fans have come out in support of him after he slammed Himanshi Khurana. A fan penned, "Abhi kaafi reality shows aaye hue hain market me to controversy to create karna padega na kaam lene k liye but usme wo baat nhi hai." Some of the fans appreciated Asim's strong statement against Himanshi, as one said, "Humne ache se ptaa hai BB 13 mei dekha hai aap ko.. aap ek sache, saf dil aur nek insaan hoo. Self-respect kya hoti hai, hamein aap se hi sikha hai."
Earlier, on Paras Chhabra's podcast, Himanshi Khurana opened up about her relationship with Asim Riaz. She spoke about the themes of faith, spirituality and religious differences. Himanshi did not mention Asim by name, but spoke at length about how their differing religious beliefs led her to question her own identity and faith. In her words:
"He used to tell me the good things about his religion. Everyone tells you about those things; there is nothing wrong with that. They wanted me to understand it and accept it, but it was not acceptable to me. There was nothing wrong with him; he never misbehaved with me, but it was my own choice that I did not want to do something like that."
