Hema Malini once recalled shooting with her husband, Dharmendra and how he borrowed a milkman's cycle for her and people ran after them.
Hema Malini and Dharmendra's love story is known to all. The couple defied all the rules and had fallen head-over-heels in love with each other while working together. However, Hema Malini tried her hardest to stay away from then-already-married Dharmendra, but destiny had other plans. Over the years, Hema Malini lived a dignified life and never really disturbed Dharmendra's first wife and their children's lives.
Hema Malini graced Dev Anand's 100th birth anniversary event, wherein she took a trip down the memory lane nad recalled his legacy. However, it was the moment when she shared a hilarious incident that involved her husband, Dharmendra that left everyone laughing out loud. The incident happened when Hema Malini was shooting with Dharmendra for their film, Razia Sultan in Jaipur.

Hema Malini revealed that they were super tired when their vehicle stopped at a railway crossing. She further shared that there were no vehicles or trains coming. So, that's when Dharmendra stopped a milkman and borrowed his cycle and asked her to sit in the backseat. She was quoted as saying:
"We were all very tired. Our vehicle stopped at a railway crossing. So I said, ‘It’s been so long, the train has not come yet, how long do we sit.’ So Dharamji looked here and there, he spotted a milkman on his cycle and he stopped him. I thought. ‘Why is he getting down and what is he doing with this dhoodh wala?’ He told the milkman, “you wait, get down.’ The milkman got scared and gave him the cycle. Then he said, ‘Hema, come on, sit on the cycle. I sat on the backseat."
Hema Malini revealed that the hotel staff had expected them to arrive by car, but to everyone's surprise, they arrived on a cycle, and people were running behind them.
Hema and Dharmendra's relationships survived the rollercoasters of life because they always tried harder to understand each other. A while ago, Hema Malini made an appearance at Kapil Sharma's comedy show with her daughter, Esha Deol. During one of the segments of the show, Hema Malini revealed the importance of cooking. She shared that in the year initial years of her marriage, she never cooked for Dharmendra.
