According to recent news reports, Brooklyn Beckham allegedly wants to have no direct contact with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham. Here's what we know about their new family issue.
The Beckham family is one of the most popular families in the UK, admired for their picture-perfect public image. A family once known for their unity is now making headlines for a growing rift inside their family, which refuses to fade away. Although their family problems began as a quiet tension, it has now become a full-blown communication block. As per a new news report by a UK outlet, Brooklyn wants to have no direct contact with his famous parents, David and Victoria Beckham.
According to a new report by the Daily Mail, Brooklyn Beckham allegedly asked his parents not to contact or reach out to him directly. Instead, he wants them to only communicate with him through lawyers. The new move by the 26-year-old star kid reportedly comes months after the strained bonds and hurt within his family, especially due to their alleged comments about his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham.
According to the outlet, Brooklyn and his parents last exchanged letters during the summer of 2025, but only through their respective legal teams. A source told the outlet that the eldest son of David and Victoria clarified his stance that he does not want to have any personal contact with his parents. At the same time, he has asked his parents, David and Victoria, not to make any public statements about him on social media. In the source's words:
"David was told to speak to them via [law firm] Schillings. That was the only way for them to communicate."
For those unaware, Brooklyn is reportedly upset by the inside claims, which suggested he was being "controlled by his wife, Nicola, and her family" and was a "hostage" in his own marriage. He is allegedly offended with the statements and has decided to set strict legal boundaries in the matter. Meanwhile, Page Six reached out to both Brooklyn Beckham and David Beckham's representatives for a response, but they did not respond immediately.
Christmas and New Year's Eve are all about letting go of daily life's stresses and welcoming the new year with an open heart. However, it seems that Brooklyn had a different viewpoint, as his younger brother, Cruz, revealed that Brooklyn had blocked his parents on Instagram after rumours alleged the opposite. Sharing his side of the story, Cruz penned:
"NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son. Let's get the facts right. They woke up blocked … as did I."
Furthermore, both Brooklyn and Nicola were noticeably absent from David Beckham's 2025 year-end Instagram post, which featured all of his other children, Cruz, Romeo, and Harper. However, David shared a photo of himself with Brooklyn from the latter's childhood on his Instagram story. At the same time, he expressed gratitude for his family and loved all four of his children. Victoria later reposted the post. Captioning his picture with his kids, David penned:
"You are my life. I love you all, Love Daddy."
The Beckham family feud allegedly began during Brooklyn and Nicola's lavish wedding in April 2022, when the latter chose to wear a Valentino gown instead of a dress designed by Victoria Beckham. Although Nicola later explained that Victoria's fashion house was unable to complete the gown in time, insiders claimed the situation left hurt feelings on both sides. Additionally, Marc Anthony allegedly called Victoria "the most beautiful woman in the room" before dancing with her, a moment intended for the newlyweds. Moreover, deeper differences related to the boundaries, independence, and family dynamics had widened the rift. Later, Brooklyn and Nicola skipped multiple major Beckham family events, including David's 50th birthday celebrations and Victoria's Netflix documentary premiere.
Amid the ongoing report, the new insider report has hinted how the Beckham family fued is far from over.
