Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleTaylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding was an extravagant affair, which was attended by over 1,000 guests. However, the details were kept so private that, so far, no pictures or videos of the couple have been shared online either by the couple or the guests. In fact, those staffers who tried to take photos were made to leave the venue. Now, an attendee revealed how he thought the wedding invite he got was a scam.
Taylor and Travis got married in a grand wedding just a couple of days ago. And as they are enjoying their 'just married' phase, they are in no mood to share glimpses of their private yet extravagant wedding. Amidst it, Greg James of 'BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show' revealed that he thought that the wedding invite he got was fake or a scam by someone.
Greg thought it was a trick, and he was worried about flying from England to New York City for something that turned out to be a gimmick. On July 8, 2026, the host told his listeners that he received the invite in the form of a link that came in the middle of the night on March 12, 2026.
The 40-year-old revealed that he just turned his phone off and thought that he would see to it later. However, the whole week, he avoided talking about the invite to anyone as he thought it wasn't real. Greg further asserted that there was no paper invite and it was all just electronic. He said:
Greg further revealed that he took it seriously when his wife, Bella Mackie, was inside the venue and took the big trip. He believed it wasn't real and might be a big scam. He said:
"Until were in, we thought we may have made a big trip here for nothing. wasn’t sure until we got there. … There was a huge part us that was … like, ‘This could not be real. This could be a scam.’”
For those who don't know, Taylor and Travis invited their guests with a digital invite. It was a forest-themed painting which featured a custom double 'T' monogram, which represents Travis and Taylor's union. And a watermark with the guest's name on it. It just read:
"You are invited. July 3rd, 2026, Manhattan. Love Taylor & Travis. One night only, Early evening Black tie."
Greg James took a sigh of relief when he entered the star-studded ceremony. He had plentiful and amazing food, as it wasn't a sit-down dinner. Also, the festivities had loads of cake. Greg also revealed if he got the chance to speak to the bride and groom. He stated that he got the chance to speak to Taylor in white, and he even got a chance to talk to Travis.
But the couple was busy, as they were the bride and groom, and they were just having the best time of their life. He added that they looked gorgeous and even took the dance floor. He said:
"I did speak to Taylor and I spoke to Travis, but look, on a wedding you know the bride and groom are very busy, so imagine that, but the bride and groom are Taylor and Travis. They were just having a great time. They both looked amazing. They were on the dance floor, it was great."
Greg, in an Instagram post, also shared his thoughts about destination weddings, and stated that one must attend one. He added that there is a rush from landing to getting ready.
