Govinda's alleged affairs with starlets have become the talk of the town lately. His daughter, Tina Ahuja, was recently asked to comment on her father's link-up with his Roopa co-star, Komal Rani Swarnkar, at Bombay Couture Week, and she was reluctant to do so. A few months earlier, she hinted at her parents' strained relationship by saying things haven't been great for her mother over the last couple of years.
Tina Ahuja took over Sunita's YouTube account and said that she wanted to share her surprise for her mother with the viewers. She mentioned her plans to buy some gifts for her mother because she deserves to be celebrated. Tina added that Sunita has had a "turbulent" life in the last two years- the time period during which Govinda's affair buzz heightened, and Sunita also spoke about the same in multiple interviews.
Tina indirectly supported her mom amid the controversy surrounding Govinda, saying that women work tirelessly for others and forget to think about themselves. She added that since things haven't been all roses and sunshine for Sunita Ahuja lately, she, as her daughter, has decided to make her feel special, even if it's for just one day. In her words:
“Hum girls aur women dusro ke liye bohot kuch karte rahte hain par apne baare mein kabhi sochte hi nahi hain. So maine socha kyu na main kuch apne tarike se kuch aisa special karoon meri mom ke liye...Two years have not been that great. Thoda sa turbulent raha hain but let's move on and let's celebrate life."
Govinda and his Roopa co-star and alleged girlfriend, Komal Rani Swarnkar sparked rumours of an affair when they were spotted together at Mumbai Airport in August 2026. Then, around Ganesh Chaturthi 2026, Govinda and Komal were spotted together at Lalbaugcha Raja, followed by Sunita's solo appearance at the same spot hours later. After that, Sunita said animals are better than humans, as the latter are not worthy of love and trust.
Komal didn't hold back and hit back at Sunita, alleging that she mentally tormented Govinda. She added, "Nobody can be a homebreaker when the home is already broken." Komal also quashed speculations of her affair with the Hero No. 1, saying, "We announced our film Roopa, not a romantic affair....We are working together, and we will continue to be seen together. If that bothers anyone, let them burn."
Govinda also addressed the noise around his alleged affair with Komal Rani Swarnkar in an interview with ANI. The actor said it is not anyone’s fault and was a planned move to distance himself from his family. He also addressed his recent visit to Lalbaugcha Raja with Komal and stated that their only intention was to pray for their upcoming film. Govinda shut down the affair angle, adding that it was not the first time he had visited a temple with an actress.
