In a recent interaction, Govinda addressed his affair rumours with newcomer, Komal and thanked her for not reacting to the speculations.
There have been constant rumours about Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, as the couple has allegedly been seeking counselling. Amid the reported tension in Govinda and Sunita’s marital life, she has often spoken about the actor’s extramarital affairs. And now, in a recent conversation, Govinda himself addressed the speculations around his affair.
In an interview with ANI, Govinda spoke about the ongoing rumours of his affair and said it is not new to him, as he has always been associated with his heroines. The actor also revealed that he has worked with many leading ladies of Bollywood, but he never misbehaved with any of them. Speaking about the same, the actor shared:
“Toh jo heroine mere ghar mein aa rahi hain, mere ghar ki film se shuru ho rahi hai career, main kabhi galat nahi kahunga.”
In the same conversation, Govinda revealed that he wanted to thank newcomer Komal, who was linked with him by his wife, Sunita. Govinda praised Komal for not saying a word despite her name being dragged with him. In his words:
“Main sabka dhanyawad dena chahunga. Khaas taur pe Komal ka dhanyawad deta hun, ki aap ek shabd galat nahi keh rahi hain, aur yeh vishay se jud kar aap charcha mein aa jaayein ya prachalikta paayein, aisa aapka swabhav nahi hai. Ye jo naam le rahi Komal, mai dhanyavad deta hu ki jo mai aaj saved hu vo ek bhi shabd nahi bolti hai.”
Earlier, there were reports in the media that the duo was on the verge of divorce, but later decided to work on their marriage. But during Ganesh Chaturthi, the couple shut down the rumours by appearing together for the paps. During a January 2026 chat with Miss Malini, Sunita Ahuja publicly alleged that aspiring actresses frequently seek a "sugar daddy" in the film industry to fund their lifestyles, directly implicating her husband, Govinda, in these dynamics.
She alleged that those newcomers have neither good looks, talent, nor resources to secure a place in the film industry. As a result, they allegedly pressure senior stars to manage their expenses, and according to Sunita, the Coolie No. 1 star has fallen prey to it. Slamming her husband, Sunita Ahuja mentioned:
"Aisi ladkiyan bahut aati hain, but tum thode hi bewakoof ho...You are 63! You have a nice family, a beautiful wife, and two grown-up children. You can't do all this at the age of 63. Tune jawani mein kiya... it's fine. Jawani mein hum bhi galtiyan karte hain, but not at this age."
For the uninitiated, it has been 15 years since Govinda and Sunita have been living in separate homes. The actor live alone in their bungalow, whereas his wife, Sunita, lives in a separate home with their children.
