Zach Holland cheated during a Member-Member Championship tournament, which was caught on a security camera tape. After that, the amateur golfer admitted to his wrongdoing and also sought forgiveness from everyone who was hurt by the incident. During his interview with The Morning After show, Zach mentioned being very remorseful about his act and was "worried" that people around him would have to bear the consequences.

Zach was particularly concerned about his family facing backlash for his cheating. He shared that his wife and kids don't deserve to face unwanted situations and jabs because of his actions. The 2-handicap golfer mentioned it would break his heart if people treated his wife and two young children badly due to his scandal. He would be able to bear it if someone mocked his kids, saying that their dad was a cheater. In his words:

"What I am most worried about is my family... It's not fair to them for me to put them in that situation where when they walk through a room, there is a stigma there that your dad is a [cheater]. So questions that they may get asked or be getting asked down the road, that's the worst part. The golf is secondary."

Thus, at present, Zach Holland was more concerned about his family than his career as a golf player. He didn't want his loved ones to be stigmatized and pushed away by society due to him. He admitted that what he did was "terrible" and he was up for facing the consequences, but he hoped his family would not be dragged into it. Admitting that he deserved the public wrath, Zach stated:

"I made a terrible mistake. The lack of moral character. I can take the banter and the chatter and the heat because I deserve that from a golf perspective."

WingHaven staff reviewed the footage, which clearly showed Zach Holland driving near the fourth green before his scheduled tee time, confirming the golfer's cheating. Following that, Zach confessed to the act and resigned from the club.

Later on The Morning After show, the golfer once again admitted to his wrongdoing and stated that he was trying hard to move past it. He shared that the path to redemption hasn't been smooth for him, but he was willing to go through the ordeal, as what he did was not right. Calling it a "dumb" mistake, which couldn't be justified by any excuses, Zach Holland mentioned:

"You do something as dumb as I did, there are consequences for that... There's no excuse for what I did, and I was completely in the wrong. I made a bad decision, and I have to suffer the consequences. I'm trying to move forward as best I can, and it's been rough."
