Gauahar Khan recently took to her Instagram handle and called out the paparazzi for 'inappropriately' calling out Pragya Jaiswal and compared it with eve-teasing.
Paparazzi culture has become an inevitable part of the entertainment industry, but with time, the downsides of the new trend have become more visible. In recent times, celebrities have been increasingly calling out paps for their intrusive behaviour, inappropriate comments or breach of privacy. While a section of paparazzi remains respectful with their work, several instances have taken place in the past few days where their conduct has become a cause of concern. Just a few days ago, Suyash Rai had called out the paps for inappropriately zooming in on Avneet Kaur in their video and now Gauahar Khan has become the latest celebrity to call them out.
Recently, Pragya Jaiswal attended Zayed Khan's birthday party, where paparazzi spotted her at the entrance. However, when she moved inside towards the venue, certain members of the paparazzi shouted and hooted at her which was met by an angry reaction from her. Soon, the video of the incident went viral, and Gauahar Khan recently took to her Instagram story and shared her views on it. Sharing the video, she penned:
"Aren't the paps encouraging eve-teasing culture? There are so many who constantly make lewd comments. Lines can't be crossed."
It's not the first time Gauahar, who is known for her strong views, has taken a stance on something she didn't feel was right. As of now, Pragya Jaiswal has not commented on the incident, but the video is going viral on the internet, and it has once again brought the spotlight on the call for establishing strict guidelines and better regulations for photographers who regularly cover celebrity events.
A few months ago, Gauahar Khan attended the birthday party of Tusshar Kapoor's son Lakshya with her little son, Zehaan. She wore a white ruffled skater dress with a hairstyle in double Dutch braids. The actress wore minimal makeup while Zeehan looked charming in a white and blue checkered shirt with beige shorts. During the event, she engaged in a conversation with her paparazzi, but they shouted, which startled Gauahar's son. In turn, the actress had to repeatedly ask the paps to keep the tone of their voice down before her son.
Gauahar Khan tied the knot with Zaid Darbar in a grand nikah ceremony on December 25, 2020. After two years, the couple announced their pregnancy in 2022 and welcomed their first child, a son, Zehaan, in May 2023. However, the couple didn't reveal the face of their son for a long time until they visited Mecca with him and performed an Umrah. A few months later, the couple announced their pregnancy and are waiting for the birth of their second child.
